Puscina is a young company, a specialized lab for production of wild flowers and antique flower varieties. Seasonality, economy on local scale and tradition, this are the main themes of our work. We believe in the importance of respecting our environment and looking for harmony with the nature, that’s why we go for sustainable practices in our cultures. Our garden is the core of the production and

the place where experiment with new varieties. Whereas the fields and the woods, where human intervention is very light if not even hard to perceive, are the biggest source of our inspiration and discoveries.

👉🏻La Celosia, conosciuta anche come “cresta di gallo”, è una pianta che non passa inosservata.

Le sue fioriture, piumose o increspate, portano nei giardini una tavolozza di rossi, arancio e fucsia.
Ama il sole e i terreni ben drenati, chiede acqua regolare ma mai in eccesso, e un po’ di nutrimento durante la crescita.

Its feathery or ruffled blooms bring a palette of reds, oranges and fuchsias to gardens.

Dove nessuno guarda una scintilla cerca spazio, luce, respiro. 🌱

Cresce piano e si apre al mondo mostrando i suoi colori. Poi arriva il vento, la pioggia, il tempo che cambia, i petali cadono ma il seme resta.

E da lì, tutto ricomincia.

Non è solo il ciclo di vita di un fiore, è il modo in cui la natura ci insegna a rifiorire.

Where no one looks, a spark seeks space, light and breath. 🌱

It grows slowly and opens up to the world, showing its colours. Then comes the wind, the rain, the changing weather, the petals fall but the seed remains.

And from there, everything starts again.

It is not just the life cycle of a flower, it is the way nature teaches us to blossom again.

Non tutte le piante amano il caldo.
L’Amni Visnaga preferisce l’aria fresca, la lentezza e i cicli lunghi.

👉🏻Qui a Puscina abbiamo imparato che la chiave è anticipare la semina: dall’autunno fino alla primavera, adattando il metodo al clima.

🍁In autunno funziona bene la semina diretta (se l’inverno non è troppo rigido).
🌱In primavera scegliamo la semina coperta, con trapianto dopo le quattro foglie.

Una coltivazione un po’ testarda, sì. Ma quando a maggio esplodono i suoi fiori leggeri e bianchi, capiamo che ne vale sempre la pena ✨

👉🏻Here at Puscina, we have learned that the key is to sow early: from autumn to spring, adapting the method to the climate.

🍁In autumn, direct sowing works well (if the winter is not too harsh).
🌱In spring, we choose covered sowing, with transplanting after four leaves.

It is a somewhat stubborn crop, yes. But when its light, white flowers burst forth in May, we realise that it is always worth it ✨

🥕 Daucus carota 'Dara'

Simile alla carota selvatica, ma con fiori che sfumano dal rosato chiaro al rosa intenso, la 'Dara' dona leggerezza e movimento a ogni composizione floreale.

🌱Si semina a inizio autunno per fiorire da maggio, è rustica, resistente e perfetta per prati fioriti a bassa manutenzione.

💐Recisa nel momento giusto dura fino a 7 giorni e anche seccata conserva tutto il suo fascino.

🥕 Daucus carota “Dara” similar to wild carrots, but with flowers that range from light pink to deep pink, “Dara” adds lightness and movement to any floral composition.

🌱Sown in early autumn to bloom from May, it is hardy, resistant and perfect for low-maintenance flower meadows.

💐Cut at the right time, it lasts up to 7 days and retains all its charm even when dried.
