Tonight’s our last night of the season at Hï, and before we go on stage, we wanted to say something about the people in this picture. Most of you will never meet them. They’re in the building hours before the doors open, and they’re still there long after the last track, getting everything ready so it can all happen again the next night. Different artist, different show, same people. That’s been their whole summer, every single day of it.

The thing about what they do is that when everything goes right, nobody notices. The sound is just there, the lights just hit, the night just works. You only really think about them on the rare night something goes wrong. We get to walk off stage to a room full of people telling us we did well. They almost never get that.

We’ve been part of this family for a few years now. We know their names, their little routines, who’s always first through the door and who’s always the last one out. Honestly, if we had to do it all over again, we’d want every one of them back.

So tonight, as we close our second residency at Hï Theatre, this one’s for all of them.

For our nights, and for every other night too.
None of this happens without you guys.
