✨ The World Poetry Project 2025, a virtual program is being hosted by Delhi Poetry Slam this weekend. Over a 100 poets from around the world will be joining in to share voices, experiences and poetry 🗣️🗺️

Poets participating jn WPP 2025 will be published in a global anthology; this is so unique because even though our experiences around the world differ, we are still connected as humans 🫂 ✨

The project allows us to explore the commonality and connection that we share, something the world needs right now ❤️📚This is our rebellion against the division and hate that’s being propagated, this is our attempt to find meaning in our common existence 🌷

Thank you Nashra Rehman and for featuring Bibhusha Rai’s winning poem about the tea plantation workers of Darjeeling 🙏🏼😊

Through poetry, things that are under the surface are brought to light and that is exactly what poet does with her writing ✍🏽

In the winning poem ‘Darjeeling Tea’, Bibhusha highlights the fact that even though tea from Darjeeling is known all over the world, so little is known about the people who pick the tea leaves. Bibhusha raises awareness about the identity of people of Darjeeling while beautifully portraying the process of plantation work.

Bibhusha received 25,000 as a prize for her poem in the Wingword Competition 2022 and her poem was published in an anthology published by Delhi Poetry Slam 👏🏽
