Kichu Dystopia
A dystopia is a society that is undesirable or frightening. Dystopian societies often appear in artistic works that are set in the future and are often characterized by toatalitarian states, dehumanisation, enviromnental disaster. In a typical tale, the protagonist and some of his/her friends realise the problems but their efforts in rectifying them often fail due to a very efficient tyrannical system. Chandril Bhattacharya, writer and elocutionist, would talk about some stories and films, mainly from the science fiction and science fantasy genre, which have portrayed dystopia. The session will be approximately hour-long and will be followed by an Utopian lunch. Another ace Kriti presentation!
