Naga & Karan.
Right from the beginning, Naga, Karan and I knew we wanted these portraits to feel like they belonged to another time.
They have this shared love for 80s and 90s Bollywood, the clothes, the colours, the songs, the way love was allowed to be a little more dramatic and a little more innocent.
So we met at sunrise and let them be themselves.
No elaborate posing. No trying too hard. Just the two of them, a quiet morning, and the kind of ease that makes a photograph feel like a memory.
And then there were the sunflowers.
For some reason, they reminded me of Van Gogh, how he could take something as simple as a sunflower and make it feel full of warmth, longing and life.
Perhaps that’s what I like about photographs too.
Sometimes, you don't need to create anything extraordinary.
You just have to notice what is already there.
