Starring Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Lucy Punch, John Michael Higgins and Jason Segel, the film tells the story of a lazy middle school teacher who hates her job, her students, and her co-workers who is forced to return to teaching to make enough money for breast implants after her wealthy fiancé dumps her. Bad Teacher was released in the United States on June 24, 2011 by Columbia Pictures. It grossed $216.2 million against a $20 million budget.

Robin Monroe (Anne Heche) is a New York editor for a fashion magazine called Dazzle. Her boyfriend Frank Martin (David Schwimmer), surprises her with a week-long vacation in Makatea, an island in the South Pacific. The final leg of their journey to Makatea is in a vintage de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, piloted by a middle-aged American, Quinn Harris (Harrison Ford). They are accompanied by Quinn's young girlfriend Angelica (Jacqueline Obradors). On their first night on the island, Frank proposes to Robin, who happily accepts. At a bar, a drunken Quinn, failing to recognize Robin, unsuccessfully hits on her.
