The Story of a Sundered Soul.

The definition of "The Sundered Soul" describes not just the pain of separated lovers, but the profound damage the psyche sustains when certain actions by other people shatter it into pieces. It's a pain that penetrates our entire being, a feeling of fundamental loss, and an immense difficulty in trying to mend ourselves – all while understanding we'll never be whole again as we once were.

Like raw material forged in intense fire, the psyche, once whole, is often exposed to its ruin. This is an internal, violent tearing, not just of emotions and feelings, but of the very foundations of the soul. The persistent pain that follows is like a "phantom limb" of who we once were, a never-ending throb in the empty space where completeness once resided.

To speak of "healing" is a a cruel illusion; the broken pieces might knit, but the scars remain, indelible maps of a life irrevocably altered. This is the truth of the sundered soul: a perpetual elegy for the self that was, a testament to the capacity of certain actions not just to build and uplift, but to destroy and fundamentally change us forever. We don't recover; we simply learn to live with the painful complexity of our ongoing incompleteness.

Often, this deep pain stems from choices and actions made, whether thoughtlessly or intentionally, by other people. We frequently become casualties in someone else's story; their actions – be they hurtful words, broken trusts, or deliberate betrayals – become the very hammers that shatter our most vulnerable core. The randomness of these moments, the sheer chance that our path crossed with someone capable of such a devastating impact, adds another layer of heartbreak. It's a cruel twist of fate where one person's decisions, big or small, can leave another's soul forever fractured.

Some compositions unfold as vivid sonic narratives, while others elect to convey their tales through the pure essence of sound. Collectively, they forge a complete and intricate musical odyssey, mirroring the multifaceted layers and experiences that have shaped my path: trials, loves, disappointments, and disillusionments.

The production of "So Many Ways" is anchored in rich, atmospheric textures: soaring synthesizers, precise hi-hats, and deep, resonant low-end elements that meticulously balance listening points within the distinct hierarchy of sounds.

YOU is officially out now.

The story behind YOU is that I created this track back in 2013, laying down the vocals in a single, live take. As I moved through a collection of different works-in-progress, I kept leaving YOU behind. Though I knew the vocal wasn't "perfect" for me – it was rough, with diction and syllable issues – it was alive and real, and that's why I was always drawn back to YOU.

It was a tempting track, one that felt like it needed to be revisited, improved, tightened, and polished! But none of that ever happened, and now it's 2025 🙂

Even though there's an instrumental version that's spot-on, I decided to release the one with that raw, live, one-take vocal instead – and this is the result.
