Matt & May's garden wedding was magical, mystical, filled with dappled light, dancing flags, hidden bells and candles😍
The evening before, we had done the legal part of the ceremony in a local pub: in theory just Matt & May plus their two witnesses.....But Surprise!ll All of their wedding guests decided to pop along to watch the real deal as well!

It was that kind of energy, welcoming, casual, spontaneous ✨️

Woodland Wedding at the bride's family home, the wind was wild and perfect for the handfasting ribbons! I had sewn a bell onto each ribbon, to scare away the pookies (mischievous faeries) and all the guests shook the clumps of ribbon as they entered....there was a lot of mischief at this wedding, but no pookies!

Outdoor wedding... details that matter! Hmmm, I will definitely need a lantern for the Ancestral & Soul candles 🫣 . The handfasting ribbons are weighted with tiny catbells today, so they won't blow away🤗 . Albe the dog has the rings around his neck, safe!
I shall not wear that full skirt - not my place for a Marilyn Monroe moment!

Woodland Wedding: "our vows to be aaid under a canopy of leaves"... there was a lovely energy around this couple, and the ceremony reflected this- a sacred circle was laid by the bridal party, then handfasting with an oath stone, soul candle and a quaich cup 😍
I loved every minute of it, including my few sentences in German (the groom is German, as we're many of the guests).

And they drove away in the cutest vintage car !

This ceremony was created to be hugely inclusive of the couple's sons, aged 10 & 8yrs, who walked their Mum down the aisle, minded the rings at the ringwarming, carefully poured sand into the Sand Vase, presented the ring and then rang bells as their parents kissed 💋 😘

As always, the Knockranny was perfection 👌
