Did you order trees from Free Trees Ireland, for collection in Kilrush? If you did, please check your emails and your text messages! I've contacted everyone on the list twice, once by email and once by text, but lots of you have not been back in touch.
PLEASE;
Reply to let us know what time you plan to collect.
Let us know if you can't come on Saturday, and we'll try to sort something out for you.
Let us know if you don't want the trees after all! We can give them to someone on the waiting list.
Thanks to everyone that's been in touch, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow :)
Our pickup point is nice and easy to find, with lots of free parking nearby if you want to stay and look around Kilrush. You can grab a great coffee and some excellent food straight across the road at Jellyfishmarketplace and do pop in to the bookshop, too - Banner Books have been amazing supporters for this project, providing free transport for your trees, and they've got tons of books on forestry, biodiversity and more, so show them some love ;)
Arrangements for collection of trees on Saturday.
At this stage, the trees have arrived and are being sorted by Lily of Silverwood Events. She has been in contact with everybody who ordered trees from about arrangements for collecting their trees on Saturday. Please be mindful of parking in the area. The pick-up point is located at the Millennium Park at the bottom of Frances Street, outside the marina gates. There are some spaces to pull in to collect trees. Parking is also available within the marina or to the rear of the Quay Mills building.
And finally, huge thanks to Free Trees Ireland for all of their work, providing so many native trees to enrich our communities. So far, donations collected have not been enough to cover the costs of this wonderful project, so please make a donation if you can at https://www.gofundme.com/f/free-native-trees Even a small donation would be a big help.
