Massive congratulations to the Tulla Céilí Band on receiving Gradam Comaoine TG4 2026, recognising their outstanding contribution to Irish traditional music.

This award is a richly deserved tribute to the generations of musicians who have carried the distinctive music of the Tulla Céilí Band forward and made such an extraordinary contribution to our musical heritage.

A very proud moment for everyone connected with the band.

St Mary’s church was built in 1826, to be the finest parish church in the south of Ireland. The project was overseen by Fr Tom McInerney, the then Parish priest. It is a cruciform building and the original layout included three balconies. Only the one in the main aisle remains following the renovations during 1983/4. The church, on its elevated site, remains a dominant structure in the village and will celebrate its bicentenary this year. The celebration is taking place on this Sunday, September 20 at 3pm. Bishop Fintan Monohan and as many ex and current priests of the parish as can attend, will concelebrate a special Mass to remember the people and the history that is contained within Feakle church. It is a day of celebration for the whole parish and everyone is invited to attend. The Mass will be live streamed on the following link,
