Crashlanding from a distant planet - it’s Samhain Eile 🦇 The best way to describe Samhain is kind of like if you gave an alien Tumblr access in 2015 and sent it to earth with one purpose : ENTERTAIN.

Full of twirls, thrills and obscure references, Samhain is truly a gaylien invasion.

(Our newly created open call is a space to give new or inexperienced drag artists and other performers a safe and welcoming platform to perform at any of our upcoming nights. If interested, please check out our application form in our bio.)

You've been summoned to witness a live performance from Shrine of the vampyre at our upcoming night this September 11th 🕯️

Shrine Of The Vampyre formed in late 2023 in Dublin, Ireland by Star (vocals) and Seth (bass) with guitarist Michael Connolly. Some months later, the band met legendary drummer and artist, Kenny Morris (Siouxsie and the Banshees).

At his exhibition in Gallery X, Kenny and the band clicked straight away, and ideas for collaboration was formed.

Star explains, ‘I’ve been a fan of the Banshees since I was 13 years old, especially the first two albums Scream and Join Hands . Kenny’s drumming style is incredible, especially on The Scream. We worked hard with Kenny and recorded two tracks with him for our first E.P. It’s a D.I.Y project, with recording for the vinyl where we practice at Temple Lane studio rooms. Seth has done all the audio engineering and final recordings for the record. Kenny’s original signed artwork will be included with the vinyl, so quite a collectable’.

Seth says, “A drummer really has a huge influence on the band’s sound. There was also this great feeling for the possibility of Kenny creating something new after many years away from the stage. When he passed away in January 2026, that really left a void, musically. It was such a privilege to have him as a friend and that he had chosen to work with us.
Our new drummer, Leo, brings energetic and interesting percussion skills that add a lot of colour to the songs. We have some tribal elements, doom rhythyms and progressive styles coming through”.

‘It’s difficult to describe our music or put ourselves in a box. I think it’s evolving and changing as we get to know each other and the world and what is happening at the moment but I would say it’s dark gothic cinematic, a bit of 80s deathrock and 70s punk rock from Kenny’s drums with tribal undertones.’

We’re hosting another alternative Pride afterparty here in Dublin - No brands. No influencers. No sponsors cashing in while funding exploitation, displacement, or genocide. No sanitised, watered-down, corporate version of q***r culture. Just a night featuring alternative grassroots DJs, performers, artists, and DIY vendors who are the beating heart of your local q***r underground 🖤

Come celebrate with us as we dance defiantly to a fusion of synthpop, new wave, gothic rock, darkwave, post-punk, industrial, EBM, and other alternative sounds from the underground. Protest by day, party by night!

All forms of self expression are welcome! Black from head to toe. Fe**sh wear. PVC. Leather. Lace. Glitter. Goth. Punk. Drag. Show up as your most authentic, unapologetic self.

As part of Pride, we’ll also be raising funds to support who are a trans mutual-aid group that provide injection supplies, a helpful GPs list, a peer support network and projects like ‘GP Action Project’ and ‘HRT Source Testing.’
