Yesterday we were proud to support 's Innovation Day 2025 and what an event it was! Nearly 400 attendees came together for a day full of ideas, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions in the civil engineering sector.

Why aye, Newcastle! ⚫⚪

Our Head of Operations, Heather Anderson, recently returned from accompanying VIP guests attending a hospitality experience at Newcastle United v Everton Football Match and it’s safe to say the city made a lasting impression.

While Heather is usually based in Scotland and is most often found delivering exceptional experiences north of the border, this trip was a welcome opportunity to explore a different part of the UK. And Newcastle didn’t disappoint.

From the city’s rich Roman history, stunning Georgian architecture, and famously warm Geordie welcome, it was a weekend to remember.

Heather shared how struck she was by the genuine kindness and pride of the people she met, and how much Newcastle reminded her of places like Glasgow and Liverpool, all cities with character, heart, and stories that go far beyond first impressions.

It’s a perfect reminder that unforgettable group travel experiences can be found in every corner of the UK! Sometimes, going slightly off the usual path brings the biggest rewards.

✨ A new chapter begins at Crossbasket Castle, and we were lucky enough to get a first look.

Our Head of Operations, Heather Anderson, recently joined a select group of industry professionals to explore the newly extended property—now offering even more possibilities for events, incentives, and high-end stays just outside Glasgow.

While the original castle remains the heart of the estate (home to 9 of the 49 bedrooms), the new modern hotel brings a fresh 1920s-inspired energy, complete with Art Deco details and relaxed elegance. Most bedrooms are located in the hotel offering guests a different, but equally high-quality, experience within the grounds.

From a champagne afternoon tea in the castle, to an evening at Trocadero’s, the entertainment-led dining space that’s part speakeasy, part jazz club—it was a programme full of thoughtful touches and standout service. A spa is set to follow soon, making this property even more attractive for future programmes.
