Lucan Spa Hotel is an Irish family-run hotel and one of Dublin's premier wedding venues. This brand was somewhat lost in the 1990s.

Lucan Spa Hotel is a family-run hotel, owned and run by the Colgan Family for the past 60 years. We are situated in the Dublin suburb village of Lucan, and are only 25 minutes away from Dublin City Centre. We are a three star hotel, and have been a major landmark building in Greater Dublin for well over 100 years. The hotel is known for its quality service from friendly staff, our competitive rate

s and our delicious food. People from all over Ireland stay in the hotel, with a keen affiliation with people from the West of Ireland due to The Colgan Family's links to Mayo and its location on the N4 to Galway. Throughout its history, the hotel was recognised as one of Ireland's top Wedding Venues. However, in 2008/09, over €3,000,000 was invested in a brand new Banqueting suite to bring the hotel back to the pinnacle of Irish Wedding Hotels. This investment resulted in the stunning Boyne Suite that you see today.

Long before it became Lucan Spa Hotel, our hotel was known as The National Spa & Hydro Hotel, and up until the 1930s, it was a true destination for wellness and relaxation.

Guests once came from far and wide to experience our up-to-date Sulphur Baths, unwind in the latest rest rooms, and enjoy the famous Vichy and Lucan Massage Douches—inspired by the luxurious Aix-les-Bains system in France 🇫🇷💦

✨ Tips and Advice surrounding Guest Accommodation for Your Wedding ✨

1. Book a Venue with Onsite Accommodation
Guests can enjoy the celebrations without worrying about travel logistics, and it makes everything easier for you, too. There is no need for taxis or designated drivers and is perfect for guests travelling from abroad or outside Dublin.

2. Confirm Availability, Rates & how to book Accommodation
Ensure there is enough accommodation for your guests, any discounted rates available (if any) and how your guests can book their rooms at these rates. You want this process to be as simple as possible, allowing guests the freedom to book rooms easily without any confusion.

3. Pros and Cons to Block Booking Rooms
Block booking bedrooms may seem like an obvious choice to do for your guests, but there can be situations where this can be disadvantageous. Block bookings normally put the onus on the couple to allocate and can cause unnecessary stress for couples looking to fill these rooms with guests.
