📅 August is about about staying cool, back to school, and making the most of the last days of sunshine.

July is a great month for sports and outdoor events generally. It usually has the All Ireland finals (hurling on the 20th, football on the 27th), Galway Arts Festival (14-27th), Longitude (5-6th), and Forest Fest (Emo Village, Laois). The Tour De France and Wimbledon will take over the TVs too! Cork LGBT and Pride starts on 30th July and goes until Aug 6th.

August keeps the heat on: Puck Fair (always on the 10th-12th), Rose of Tralee (15th-19th), Dublin Horse Show (14th-18th), All Together Now (July 31st – Aug 3rd), Fleadh Cheoil (4th-11th) and National Heritage Week (16th-24th). Electric Picnic from the 29th to 31st.

June is time for holidays and happy days! We’re in the mood for rainbows and Pride, BBQs and picnics, travel and outdoor fun. Schools are closing – what to do with the kids? – and summer festivals are starting.

🌈 It’s Pride month – celebrate with a rainbow flag or theme. Dublin Pride parade takes place on June 28th, marking ten years since the marriage equality vote.

🌅Grand stretch anyone? The 21st is Summer Solstice. Share plans for the summer or the second half of your year.

🪩Concerts galore as well: Dublin will be dancing with Justin Timberlake and Dua Lipa, and Cork gets loud(er) as Live at The Marquee opens (Picture This and The Coronas) and Musgrave Park (Macklemore, Madness and more) running most of the month, Limerick is welcoming big acts including Amble and The Darkness to King John's Castle.
