Free event in Athlone Little Theatre on Friday, 22nd August at 8pm! ❤️

🚀🚀LAUNCH: Athlone Little Theatre is delighted that renowned theatre historian Dr Fiona Brennan will be our special guest to help us launch 'Voices From Behind the Curtain' on August 22 at 8pm.
🎭🎭 It's a FREE evening event to launch the start of a new oral history project for Athlone Little Theatre as it prepares to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its foundation.
⭐⭐ The evening will feature on-stage interviews with some of our longest-serving members interspersed with readings from their favourite productions, recalling the many memorable moments in the theatre's long and storied history. Admission is free, but booking is advised on Eventbrite or www.athlonelittletheatre.ie

This event is supported by the Heritage Council under the Community Grant 2025.

We want to give a huge thank you to .tiernan and for today's talk and workshop. We had an absolute ball learning about Irish LGBTQIA+ history and making our new protest banner with you! (Our Heartlands Pride banner is still in progress. Watch this space for when we finish our new project!)

Luan Gallery's current exhibition "Soft Surge" will run until the 7th of September, and features the AIDS Memorial Quilt. This is a powerful piece that pays tribute to those who died as a result of AIDS-related illnesses. We strongly recommend you visit the gallery to see it, as well as all the other wonderful art on display.
