Moving to a new country is exciting, but losing important documents can quickly turn into a stressful experience. That's why one of the first things every international student should do after arriving in Szeged is organize and secure their important paperwork.

✅ Passport
✅ Residence Permit / Visa Documents
✅ Rental Contract
✅ Student Certificate
✅ Health Insurance Documents
✅ University Acceptance & Registration Papers

💡 Pufi's Tip: Before traveling to Hungary, take clear photos or scans of all your important documents and save them in multiple places. Email them to yourself and keep backup copies in cloud storage such as Google Drive or iCloud.

Why is this important?
🔹 Faster administration at the university
🔹 Easier apartment registration and banking
🔹 Helpful during emergencies
🔹 Less stress when traveling
🔹 Better preparation for official procedures in Hungary

Many students don't realize how often these documents are needed during their first weeks in Hungary. Having everything organized can save hours of paperwork and unnecessary headaches.

🇭🇺 Welcome to Szeged! Stay organized, stay safe, and enjoy your new student adventure.

Just arrived in Szeged? Welcome to your new home! 🇭🇺💚

One of the first things every student needs to do is stock up on the essentials. Whether you're moving into a dormitory, flat, or student residence, knowing where to shop can save you both time and money.

🛒 Best supermarkets in Szeged: 💙 Lidl – Great prices and excellent quality for everyday shopping. 💙 Aldi – Affordable products and student-friendly deals. ❤️ Tesco – Perfect for larger shopping trips with a huge variety of products. 💚 SPAR – Convenient locations all around the city. ❤️ PENNY – Budget-friendly options and frequent discounts.

✅ What should you buy first? 💧 Water 🍞 Bread 🥛 Milk 🥚 Eggs 🍎 Fruits 🧴 Toiletries

💡 Pufi's Student Tip: Bring a reusable shopping bag! Most supermarkets in Hungary charge extra for plastic bags, and you'll save money while helping the environment. 🌱♻️

🚋 Good news: Most supermarkets in Szeged are easy to reach by tram, bus, or even on foot from the university area.

Landing at Budapest Airport and going to Szeged can feel confusing after a long flight — especially if you’re carrying luggage, arriving alone or visiting Hungary for the first time. 💚🇭🇺

Don’t worry. Pufi is here to help you step by step!

🚌 Bus 200E connects the airport with: ➡️ Kőbánya-Kispest ➡️ Ferihegy railway station

Most students going to Szeged usually get off at: 🚉 Ferihegy Station

📍 STEP 2
From Ferihegy railway station, take the train to Szeged.

🚆 Trains usually run almost every hour
⏰ Travel time is around 2.5 hours

📍 STEP 3
Buy your train ticket: 📱 through the MÁV app
🎟️ at ticket machines
🌐 online at jegy.mav.hu

💡 Pufi’s Tips: ✅ Download BudapestGO app for Budapest transport
✅ Download MÁV app for train tickets and schedules
