Dragi naši prijatelji,

vrijeme je da najavimo ovogodišnje, jubilarno 10. izdanje Rab Jazz Festivala! Tijekom proteklih deset godina rasli smo zajedno s vama i doživjeli brojne nezaboravne trenutke.

I ove smo godine pripremili raznolik i uzbudljiv program kako bismo vas ponovno razveselili glazbom i atmosferom našeg festivala. Uz glazbeni dio, za ovo posebno izdanje pripremili smo i dječju radionicu Teatra Oz pod nazivom "Plava nota u duginim bojama".

Koncerti će se i ove godine održavati ujutro na Trgu Slobode te navečer na različitim lokacijama diljem otoka. Ove godine imat ćemo priliku slušati:

It’s time to announce this year’s special 10th edition of the Rab Jazz Festival! Over the past ten years, we’ve grown together with you and shared countless unforgettable moments.

This year, once again, we’ve put together a rich and diverse program to delight you with music and the unique festival atmosphere. For this special anniversary edition, we’ve also prepared a children’s workshop by Teatar Oz, titled “A Blue Note in Rainbow Colors.”

Concerts will take place in the mornings at Trg Slobode and in the evenings at various beautiful locations across the island. This year, we’ll have the pleasure of hearing:

🌟 The ninth Rab Jazz Fest came to a spectacular close with the legendary Rock Masters, icons of local rock and blues. The stage was graced by Vedran Božić, one of the greatest guitar legends in the region, whose guitar prowess left the audience breathless. Tomas Krkač, with his masterful bass lines, and Adonis Dokuzivić, with his dynamic drumming, provided exceptional support that elevated the entire performance. The Summer Cinema stage resonated with iconic hits from Jimi Hendrix and Cream, wrapping up the festival on an electrifying note. These musical gods delivered a performance that was nothing short of divine, creating an unforgettable finale to the festival. 🎸🔥

🌟 The final night of the Rab Jazz Fest opened with Momento Cigano at the Summer Cinema Rab. With Teo Collori and Metod Banko on guitars, Matej Kužel on clarinet, Jošt Lampret on double bass, and Matija Krečič on violin, they infused Gypsy musical traditions with vibrant melodies and rhythms. 🎶 Collori's original music brought fresh vitality to the genre, with his and Krečič's dynamic interplay resonating deeply with the audience. Their sound is spellbinding, and seeing them live is truly magical. 🎻🎸

🎶✨ The final day of the Rab Jazz Fest was opened by Elvis Stanić with his new accordion project, French Touch. Dedicated to the accordion, tango, musette, French chanson, and waltz, he was joined by Darko Mihelić Boćo on double bass, Leo Škec on guitar, and Andy Cech on drums. Their music took the Liberty Square audience on a journey through the streets of Paris, invited them to tango in Buenos Aires, and celebrated the unbridled joy of French 'joie de vivre.' Many danced and enjoyed their diverse and skillful fusion of tango, jazz, and waltz. 🎻🎵💃

🎶🌟 On the third evening of the festival, the Marko Churnchetz Trio took the stage, presenting their new album Without Words - The Music of Mojmir Sepe. Accompanied by Josh Ginsburg on double bass and Kristijan Krajnčan on drums, they reimagined well-known Slovenian compositions by the renowned composer Mojmir Sepe. Their unique interpretations breathed new life into these beloved melodies, offering the audience a fresh and captivating experience. Hearing these three virtuosos perform in the unique setting of the Church of St. John the Evangelist was truly enchanting. 🎹🎻🥁
