Slap is a community for electronic dance music and other arts centred in Hong Kong. Slap hosts a cafe, exhibition space and nightclub in a 150-capacity venue with elevated ceilings set to open in Mong Kok, Kowloon. The nightclub’s programming is eclectic, promoting the growth of local talent and is a platform for sonic and visual experimentation. Slap welcomes international visitors, artists and DJs.

Tomorrow night, we welcome 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗔 back to Hong Kong for their first club performance in the city!

Canadian SENAIDA is a multidisciplinary artist. Their work explores themes of sonic cyberfeminism, posthumanism, generative art and sustainability to create collective experiences through sound via her New York WE ARE THE FUTURE! collective and other collaborative projects in North America and globally. 曾於台灣Boiler Room，Final 及 Oil 常駐DJ 亦於世界各地打碟的Sulk，並不是單純的聲音堆砌 — New Beat 的復古質感，連接上 Post-Club和Coldwave 的冷峻旋律，再以硬派 Techno 和亞洲流行文化的微妙混搭，製造赤裸的聲波碰撞。

來自加拿大的SENAIDA — We Are The Future 主理人及Producer，專注人歌合一的藝術體驗，融合高頻glitch脈衝及Techno的機械節拍生成女權主義及後人類主義，輸出集體神經同步化。

兩個房間聲音縫合交錯出神秘而華麗的數碼殘響，色音慾交融誘惑你探索未知，感受那份撕開黑夜的純粹與炙熱。

站在分界線上，成為這場情慾測試的唯一實驗體。

L channel, Taipei underground electronic messenger and FINAL resident *Sulk* ✧ uses neo-romantic mixed future soundtracks.
Having performed at Boiler Room in Taiwan, resident of Final & Oil as well as playing around the world, Sulk is not just a simple layering of sounds — his retro feel of New Beat connects with the heart chilling melodies of Post-Club & Coldwave, mixed with hard techno and subtle Asian music culture, creating a collision of raw sound waves.

R channel, Canadian artist *SENAIDA* ✧ creates a personal stance with sound.
SENAIDA, founder and producer of NY’s We Are The Future, focuses on the art experience of unity in music and humanity, blending high-frequency glitch pulses with mechanical techno beats to create works exploring sonic cyberfeminism and post-humanism.

The sounds from the two rooms intertwine to create a mysterious and magnificent digital echo, a fusion of colour and sound that tempts you to explore the unknown, feeling the purity and intensity that tears through the night.

Standing on the dividing line, becoming the only experimental subject in this test of desire.

This week at SLAP 拍, our programming aims to connect local scenes and introduce sounds from further afield with throbbing club nights and conversations.

On Wednesday, join Just Bee and HK producer Cehryl talk about social media, confidence, relationships with yourself & others, being true to yourself and more for the second girls.chat. RSVP for $100 includes a drink.

On Thursday, Guangzhou’s PAAK (by the way, that’s also how you pronounce the ‘拍’in our name!) takes over the club for a night of fresh sounds and underground music discovery. Tickets are only $80/$120 including a drink.

On Friday night, we’re excited to welcome MorningStar Assembly Universe Chronicle who will transform the club to the surreal world of Macross City.

On Saturday night, hard techno meets psytrance in our two rooms as 852 Hardside brings PSYCHEDELIC HAMMER. Relentless hard techno on our Funktion-One system in Room 1 and gather in Room 2 for psytrance.

Since its founding in 2016, Hong Kong Community Radio has established a global community and independent radio station comprised of creators, musicians, artists and fans. HKCR’s mission is to broadcast and support independent works as an open platform.

Tomorrow night they join us in presenting ERR 404: GENRE_NOT_FOUND, a curated lineup of artists each grinding out raw, genre-mutating sounds that shrug off easy classification.

We’re transforming our club in preparation for the fourth edition of Idolize.Strange. The event, first introduced in ### in 2017 continues to offer a moody, immersive atmosphere that feels like Berlin meets Tokyo, where guests can lose themselves in the hypnotic rhythms and intricate performances. Next Satuday, 5 July is a celebration of sensual tension and rhythmic release, where bodies and beats intertwine, and strangers become connected through the hypnotic pulse of techno and the delicate intensity of Sh***ri.

Everyone is welcome — no matter who you are, where you’re from, or how you identify. Come dressed in your wildest, boldest, most unapologetic self. This is a night for freedom, self-expression, and shared experience. Let the music bind us and the ropes set us free.

A 3 crew takeover of SLAP 拍’s 2 rooms.

Call it a tag-team. Call it whatever you want.

Either way, this one’s going to SLAP.

We’ve been cooking something special for the Hong Kong community with 3 of the cities’ boundary-pushing crews linking up to put on something genre-bending across our 2 rooms.

Expect from the 3 crews:

Yee. is a music and community platform championing the sounds of the underground, from Hong Kong to the world. Bass, breaks, techno and everything in between.

SLIMEFEST is back after a year-long hiatus, taking the time off to hone their sound and craft. Known for their raw, sweaty warehouse parties hosting international guests near and far, this return is no exception to the energy they’ve brought over the years.

GONE FISHIN’ is telling you to: ‘come listen to some wobbly bass line, have a laugh with your next mates, smoke 23 ci******es and dance around like a twat.’

This one takes over both rooms with a stacked local lineup. Whether you’re locked in with us in Room 1, Room 2, or bouncing between the two, expect a night where all three crews link up together, bring their flavour and cook something special for our city.

That night was the first time we opened on a Sunday and we were joined by CRRDR, KATAGYAL, Baby Diwata, Lovelife and Phoebe. Thanks to everyone that came to dance and made memories with us, and thanks to Yung Waste for opening Room 1 with this mix.
