*Spreading Summer Warmth Through Community Action ☀️*

As summer brings about mosquitoes and pests, elderly cleaners and recyclers ,one of our most vulnerable groups in community, face added challenges as they continue working outdoors.

This August, we welcomed a team from Environment Council (BEC) to Joy Connect. Under the guidance of our staff, BEC volunteers turned their care and sincerity into practical support. They worked side by side for three dedicated hours, producing 50 natural insect bite relief balms for elderly recyclers in the New Territories. 🌿

We’re grateful for BEC’s commitment to community-led impact, and we look forward to strengthening partnerships that deliver real, impactful changes.

【夏日送暖 ☀️ 手作護膚膏傳遞大愛】

夏日蚊患嚴重，大家平時出街都怕被蚊咬，更何況要長期喺戶外工作嘅拾荒長者？🦟💦

好感謝 商界環保協會 的用心與支持！喺呢個炎炎夏日，一班員工化身成熱心義工，特意來到 Joy Connect，親手製作咗 50 件「蚊咬滋潤膏」，為新界區嘅拾荒長者送上最實用、最貼心嘅關懷。🌱✨

活動由Joy Connect同工主持，義工們默默用心製作，足足 3 小時無停手！每一盒蚊膏背後，都凝結住大家對長者滿滿嘅祝福與心意。❤️

感謝 PolyU Staff Club 的邀請！很高興能於今年 8 月在香港理工大學舉辦「非遺技術工作坊」。

特別要給當天參與的大家一個大大的like 👍！不單止全員準時出席，而且零缺席，這個熱情真的讓人太感動了！

這次工作坊由我們的專業導師以及經過專業培訓的婦女夥伴共同主導。從介紹非遺項目的深厚歷史，到親身指導每一步製作技巧，看著大家一步步完成屬於自己的專屬禮物，場面專注又熱情 💪🏽💝。

When Traditional Craftsmanship Meets Deep Focus 🎨✨

A big thank you to the PolyU Staff Club for having us! We were thrilled to host a Cultural Heritage Workshop at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University campus this August.

A huge shout-out to all the attendees—100% attendance and punctuality! Your enthusiasm and dedication truly warmed our hearts. 👍

The workshop was co-facilitated by our professional instructors and trained women partners. From sharing the rich historical roots of these traditional crafts to guiding participants step-by-step through the hands-on techniques, it was inspiring to watch everyone create their own unique heritage keepsakes with such focus and passion. 💪🏽💝

During the 2-hour session, participants naturally set aside their phones 📵 to immerse themselves fully in the art of crafting. That level of deep engagement and mindfulness is precisely where the true charm of traditional craftsmanship lies.

🎉 Summer Warmth – Easing Pain & Discomfort 💝
We extend our heartfelt thanks to KEUNG TO 姜濤 and KT MUSIC SUPPORT TEAM for their generous love and support!
In June 2026, they donated over 100 sets of HERBALGY - Touch Cool andANALGESIC PLASTER, allowing us to bring this caring gesture to those in need ❤️

After we packaging, these items were distributed to Joy Connect’s women and elderly community members, helping them relieve the aches and pains from daily labour.

We also extended this love to young athletes who are passionate about sports. Through Swish Club Limited (professional Muay Thai & fitness centre in Causeway Bay) and TSWRFC 天水圍欖球會 (a local rugby club serving young people), we delivered the products to hardworking young athletes in training.
A small gift of health can cross different ages and communities, bringing real warmth and comfort 🌟

2026年6月，他們捐贈了超過 100 份健絡通壹點寧及活絡貼，讓我們可以把這份關懷送到有需要的人手上❤️
