Lesvos Island is the best wedding destination Catholic weddings. The shrine with the relics of Saint Valentine is at Catholic Church in the capital town of Lesvos Island, Mytilene. This is indeed the best way to join your life with your loved one in holy matrimony.

Catholic Weddings are held at the Catholic Church in the center Mytilene, devoted to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Franciscan Church was founded during the 19th century by the foreign community which consisted of people from England, France, Germany and Italy who had settled on Lesvos Island. The relics of Saint Valentine were donated to the Capuchin monks of the Catholic Church by Lucia Theophanopoulou - Bongigli during the early 20th century. They have been confirmed as authentic by the Archbishop of Smyrna in 1907.
