There is a story most DJs and producers carry without knowing they’re carrying it. It goes something like this: if I finish this track, I will feel better about myself. If I actually release it, I’ll feel like I belong here. If I complete the set list, I’ll finally feel like I know what I’m doing.

The story is seductive because it connects action to emotional reward in a clean, logical chain. Work hard. Finish the thing. Feel good. Move forward.

It rarely works that way. You finish something and the feeling is... fine. Flat. Sometimes there is a moment of relief, but it passes quickly, and the next project starts from exactly the same psychological place as the last one. The voice that questioned your capability before you finished is still there after. The doubt didn’t dissolve. The sense of not quite belonging to this world didn’t lift. And because it didn’t, you conclude something painful: maybe finishing isn’t enough. Maybe I’m just not the kind of person who can do this consistently.

This is where the story breaks down. And it breaks down at a very specific point. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> https://theinnerdrop.substack.com/p/finishing-wont-fix-how-you-feel

Always the Sunset is out now.

A 72 minute mixed album by Sergi Dassi, created from 13 original tracks and shaped as one continuous DJ mix.

It is dedicated to the emotional power of sunset. That short part of the day when the light changes, the noise drops, and something inside us becomes more present.

The sound moves between chill melodic sunset house, organic house and deeper progressive house, with a Greek summer feeling and a quiet emotional centre.

This is music for slow listening.
For memory.
For silence.
For that hour when the day ends, but something inside us keeps moving.

I created The Inner Drop for DJs and music producers who still feel the music inside them, but sometimes lose trust in the process.

The unfinished tracks. The overthinking. The silence after a release. The fear of posting. The comparison. The strange feeling that you are still in the game, but somehow standing outside the door.

This is not another newsletter telling you to work harder, post more, release faster, and act confident.

The Inner Drop is a weekly psychological letter for artists who want to stay creative, stable, and in the game for the long run.

Every week, you receive one honest reflection and one practical reset to help you understand your patterns, reduce the chaos, and return to the music without breaking yourself.

If you are a DJ or producer who has started, stopped, disappeared, returned, and still refuses to give up, this is your place.

Welcome home.

Some tracks arrive like a place you have never visited, but somehow remember.

Mira Dekka was born from that feeling.

A warm light. A slow rhythm. A quiet road near the sea. The kind of moment where nothing dramatic happens, but something inside you opens for a few seconds.

I wanted this track to carry that balance between movement and stillness. Something melodic, organic and emotional, but still alive enough to make the body follow.

For me, Mira Dekka feels like summer without the noise. A small inner escape. A sound for the hour when the day is still bright, but the heart has already started drifting somewhere else.

Listen slowly.

There are moments when music does not need to explain itself.

It only needs to create a place.

Mira Dekka is one of those tracks for me. It has warmth, rhythm, movement and a quiet emotional pull that I kept returning to while creating it.

I hear something Mediterranean in it. Not in an obvious way. More like a feeling in the air. A road after the beach. A late afternoon light. A memory that does not have a clear story, but still knows how to find you.

This track sits somewhere between organic house, melodic house and a more emotional progressive feeling. It is made for people who like music with atmosphere, groove and a sense of inner travel.

Mira Dekka is now ready to move on its own.

I hope it finds you at the right moment.

Mira Dekka started as a feeling I could not name.

Something warm.
Something moving.
Something between memory and escape.

I did not want to make a track that simply sounds nice. I wanted to create a small emotional space. The kind of space you enter for a few minutes when the sun is still high, the sea is close, and your mind begins to travel without asking permission.

There is rhythm in it, but also softness. There is a summer energy, but also a quiet inner side. It feels organic, melodic and human to me.

This is music for open roads, late light, slow thoughts and people who still feel things deeply.

Mira Dekka by Sergi Dassi.

If it speaks to you, stay with it.
If it stays with you, share it.
