Want to know what it’s really like to have a Sirtaki wedding? 🇬🇷✨

Three days. More than 200 guests. One incredible celebration on Evia Island. 🇬🇷

Lior & Rom wanted their wedding to feel like much more than a single day, they wanted to create an experience their friends and family would remember forever.

And they certainly did.

A Greek welcome party around the pool, live music and dancers, 6,000 smashed plates, a sunset ceremony on the beach, an elegant white dinner, fireworks, dancing until morning… followed, quite sensibly, by a recovery pool party the next day. 😂

With Lior’s eye for design and Rom’s love of hospitality and food, every part of the weekend mattered. Each event had its own look, atmosphere and menu : from relaxed Greek food-market style dining to a beautifully refined wedding dinner.

Their advice for couples planning a destination wedding?

Embrace the adventure, let go of the pressure and trust the people you’ve chosen to bring it all together.

Want to know what it’s really like to have a Sirtaki wedding? 🇬🇷✨

From Israel and Ireland, via Thailand and Amsterdam… Or & Paul’s story had already crossed a few borders before it brought them to Greece.

For them, Greece was the perfect meeting point, somewhere their families could come together, with the climate, food and setting they wanted for a relaxed, intimate destination wedding.

Their celebration unfolded over an entire weekend, with exclusive use of their venue, days by the pool and beach, a ceremony by the water, colourful boho florals, fairy lights, a very Greek feast, an unforgettable live band and dancing into the early hours. 🇬🇷

But their story is also a great insight into one of the biggest parts of planning a destination wedding: trust.

Planning from another country meant handing over so many of the details they couldn’t see or experience themselves. In their words, finding planners who “get you” made all the difference.

And perhaps our favourite moment? Helping several family members secretly arrange their trip after they thought they wouldn’t be able to attend — and watching them surprise Or & Paul in person. 🥹

Some weddings are beautiful. Some are emotional. And some are completely, unapologetically the couple.

Looking back at Delaney & Tom’s celebration in Evia: a two-day destination wedding built around personality, connection and giving their guests an experience they’d never forget.

Think lavish rugs and wildflowers, a toga-wearing celebrant, bubbles, smoke flares, plate smashing, a family-style Greek feast, prank gifts, a wedding game show and fireworks at midnight. Oh… and a dress described by Delaney herself as giving “sexy cult leader” vibes. 😂

But beneath all the brilliant details was something we love about destination weddings: the chance to slow everything down and actually spend time together.

Their advice to other couples? Think beyond the ceremony, dinner and dancing. Think about the whole experience your guests are having.

Tucked away in Athens, this beautiful estate offers a completely different side of the Greek wedding experience; warm stone architecture, sweeping gardens, vineyards, grand arched interiors and intimate corners full of character.

There’s a quiet, old-world elegance to it. The ceremony unfolds surrounded by greenery, dinner moves beneath dramatic stone arches and wooden beams, and even the smallest details, from the wine cellar to the climbing ivy and terracotta pots, feel rooted in the landscape.
