The Caribbean earthquake has been revised to a magnitude 7.6 from an 8.0, which is still extremely impactful. It happened along the Walton Fault Zone just before 6:30 tonight.
NOAA has determined there is NO TSUNAMI THREAT along the Gulf Coast or the Eastern Seaboard.
However, a Tsunami Advisory is in effect for the US territories in the Caribbean with impacts possible elsewhere as well. The generation of a wave has not yet been confirmed.
