We were delighted to have hosted ’s Welcome Ceremony Event for the Canada, Fiji, Spain, and New Zealand teams participating in the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 at the Tempest Anderson Hall, Yorkshire Museum, on August 17 2025 🏉

It was such an inspiring event celebrating international talent and the incredible achievements of women in sport worldwide 🙌

It was such a fantastic evening hosting York Museums Trust’s first fundraising dinner at the Hospitium on Saturday night 🥂🌌

Guests enjoyed a tour of the new Echoes of Yorkshire: Museum Illuminated light show in York Museum Gardens, then headed to the Hospitium for canapés, fizz, and a 2 course meal by 🍾

We were so lucky to have a part of the recently acquired Melsonby Hoard in the Hospitium for guests to see - the first time it has ever been on display.

A huge thank you to everyone that attended, and also to those who supported us in making this night so amazing!

The Hospitium is all set up ahead of York Museums Trust’s Fundraising Dinner tomorrow, and doesn’t it look great!

A love story framed by art 🤍🖼️

Laura and Alistair joined us at York Art Gallery for their wedding reception on the 23rd August, with cocktails and spritz being served by Sketch on the Balcony.

Their wedding breakfast, then was held in the Atrium with the Madsen Galleries in the background, on one long sprig seating all of their loved ones.

The evening will begin with a private experience of Echoes of Yorkshire: The Museum Illuminated in the Museum Gardens, a captivating new light show created by Luxmuralis. Guests will then be welcomed into the historic Hospitium for a memorable night of dinner, entertainment and celebration of the important work of York Museums Trust.
