Looking forward to teaching classic line dance Black Coffee in our Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham class this afternoon. We're dancing 12-2pm - see you there! And don't forget, next week we have a full hit of with all classes on in Aspire to inspire fitness , Canolfan Ceiriog Centre, New Road, Glyn Ceiriog, Rossett Village Hall and Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham, and our new one over at Cefn Mawr Community Social Club starting on Wednesday afternoon (17th June).

We still have seats available on our coach daytrip to the Welshpool country and western music festival, so if you want to join us (and the festival) for the day please get in touch.

Pickup points are currently in Rossett, Wrexham Town Centre and Chirk based on those currently booked on to the trip (we may be able to add additional pickup points but that will be dependant on the numbers requiring it). More details in the original post.

Welshpool Country Music Festival Coach Daytrip Deposits

Hi all. Just a reminder that if you've put your name down for (or would like to put your name down for) the coach daytrip to the Welshpool Country Music Festival on 18th July, I need your deposits for holding your seats on the coach ASAP. Deposits are £10 per seat booked.

If you are able to bring the deposits to class with you it would be greatly appreciated as I need to pay the coach deposit. If you need to get bank details from me to do a transfer let me know and I can send them across.

A reminder of the details:
* Pickup points in Rossett, Wrexham Town Centre and Chirk - Times to be confirmed once I know how many at each pickup point.

* The full price is £55 per person. This includes the return coach travel and the ticket to get into the festival.

* There will be room in the coach luggage compartment for foldable picnic/camping chairs if you would like to bring them with you, and although food and drink is available there we also recommend that you bring a picnic with you, however, no glass is permitted as per the rules of the festival.

* We are aiming to arrive for 10am, and will leave at 6pm.

We still have seats available so if you know of anyone who would like to come along for the day pass them my details and ask them to get in touch. They do not need to be K's Kicks dancers - you can bring along your friends, family members, kids, grandkids, etc. We also have dancers from other groups joining us too. The more the merrier.

So, we posted yesterday looking for venues for pop-up events... and got asked to put on a weekly class! Our new afternoon class at Cefn Mawr Community Social Club starts next week on Wednesday 17th June 12-2pm.

Sessions can be paid for as cash on the door. All K's Kicks Line Dancing classes are aimed at Absolute Beginners and Beginners, but are also suitable for those returning to line dancing after a break. We dance a mix of newer and classic line dances, and to a mix of music, and take a break mid-way for refreshments (available from the bar at Cefn classes) and a small weekly (optional) raffle. Each K's Kicks class nominates their own charity for the funds to go to, with our other classes currently voting for Nightingale House Hospice, Myeloma UK and Canolfan Ceiriog Centre, New Road, Glyn Ceiriog for their classes. Who knows what the nominated charity will be for The Cefn Club dancers - that is up to them...

New dances at our beginner line dancing classes this week (from 8th June)

We have classes at Mold and Chirk only this week, back to all four locations from 15th June:

Monday 7:30pm at Aspire to inspire fitness ladies only gym - new teach this week is A Bar Song. Booking is essential for this class as it fills up quick but there is a waitlist. Booking has to be made via the gym website.

Tuesday - no class at Canolfan Ceiriog Centre, New Road, Glyn Ceiriog this week as the Women's Institute have the hall. We are back on Tuesday 16th June with new teach Rockin' The Wagon Wheel.

Wednesday - no class at Rossett Village Hall this week as Rossett WI Darland Divas have the hall. We are back on Wednesday 17th June with new teach Choosin' Texas.

Thursday 12-2pm at Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham - new teach this week is the classic Black Coffee.

If you're interested in giving line dancing a try all of our classes are suitable for absolute beginners and beginners with full instruction and a mix of music. Aspire sessions are priced as per their website; K's Kicks sessions are all £5 per person. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult (half price if dancing, free if just watching).

Pubs / Clubs / Venues - we are currently looking for venues with either a function room or dance floor (even a small one) for running some ad hoc (regular if the demand is there) pop-up line dancing events in the Wrexham and outskirts areas. Happy to consider further afield. If you are interested in working with us for these events please get in touch on the above details quoting "POPUP". We can do them completely country-themed, with a mix of music, family friendly, etc. - we can work with you on the theme and vibe of the pop-up.

Private Hire - we are also available for hire for instruction for private and corporate events for birthday parties, hen and stag parties, corporate functions, charity fundraisers and any other type of event you can think of. Quote "PRIVATE HIRE" when getting in touch.

New teaches at our beginner line dancing classes this week!

Beginner Line Dancing Classes Mon-Thurs this week! All classes suitable for absolute beginners and beginners, new teaches being introduced at all classes this week.

Monday - 7:30pm - Aspire to inspire fitness ladies only gym in Mold - new teach: It's Goin Down

Tuesday - 7pm-9pm - Canolfan Ceiriog Centre, New Road, Glyn Ceiriog --- **All dances will be full new teaches as this is our first class at Glyn Ceiriog**

Wednesday - 7:30-9:30pm - Rossett Village Hall - new teaches: Twenty Two (22) and Choosin' Texas

Thursday - 12-2pm - Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham - new teach: Glass of Wine

So, if you're looking at giving line dancing a try, or even if you've line danced before and want to dip your toe/strut your way back in at a beginner level, why not come along and join one of our classes.

Monday classes at Aspire to inspire fitness need pre-booking and paying through their website (and book up very quickly in advance), but all other classes are pay on the door and currently require no pre-booking. Tuesday-Thursday classes are all £5 per session for adults (£2.50 per child dancing / children free if accompanying an adult but not dancing).

On our 2-hour classes we stop for a refreshment break mid-way with a hot/cold drink and biscuit available for a bargain price of 50p! We also hold an optional raffle with the classes nominating their own charity for the class to donate the funds to - £1 a ticket.

Hi all. With the heat being how it is, just letting you all know that I have ordered a fan (picking it up tomorrow) for using in our halls for our classes.

I will also check we have access to jugs for water, which will be available on the sign-in tables at the Rossett, Chirk and Glyn Ceiriog classes to make sure everyone has access to cold water to keep hydrated during the classes. We'll take extra breaks between dances as needed to ensure everyone is safe and well during classes.

Beginner Line Dancing Classes This Week

This week we have classes on Wednesday evening in Rossett Village Hall dancing 7:30-9:30pm, and Thursday afternoon in Parish Hall, Chirk, Wrexham dancing 12-2pm. There is no class this evening in Aspire to inspire fitness in Mold due to the bank holiday - we will be back next week on 1st June: new month, fresh start.

All classes are suitable for absolute beginners and beginners and are £5 per adult / £2.50 per child dancing per session - children accompanying parents/guardians and watching are Free. We stop for a refreshment break mid-way - hot/cold drink and a biscuit for 50p. We also hold an optional raffle with the prize being a class-pass and with the money going to a charity nominated by the class.
