You might think this is a bit of a morbid question but often, family members like to know they're going to choose songs that would have meant something to you!

My choices would be 'Supermarket Flowers' by Ed Sheeran, and ABBA's 'Dancing Queen' as everyone leaves the service - dancing of course! 🎶

It's been one week since my daughter Meg married the wonderful Luke, and what a magical time we shared together.

Normally I’m the one leading the ceremony, but this time I had the joy (and emotion!) of seeing it all through the eyes of the Mother of the Bride, a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Yes, the lead up had its fair share of to dos and little stresses, but when the day arrived, it was a beautiful whirlwind. We celebrated an incredible love story, laughed until we cried, and danced long into the night.

My one piece of advice? It all goes by in a flash, so pause, breathe, and soak in every moment.

It's officially time to take off my celebrant hat, and put on my Mother-of-the-Bride hat! 🩷

That's right, I'm switching off for my daughter's wedding on Thursday and I can't wait! I will have lots to share afterwards, I'm sure, but in the meantime, it's time to get all dressed up for the wedding of the century! 🎊

Why is it so important to have a chance to say goodbye to our loved ones after they've passed away?
