A lovely private workshop this week, celebrating a 12th birthday with some dragonfly making 🎉💚

The group were absolutely fantastic - full of creativity, imagination and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see their ideas come to life and the finished dragonflies looked amazing!

Such a great way to celebrate together, with lots of fun, laughter and making something special to take home 🥳

Weaving in the sunshine today at Transition Worcester Community Garden's Eco Fayre, come and say hi!

This Sunday I’ll be at the Transition Worcester Community Garden Eco Fair! 🌿

I'll be doing some live willow weaving demonstrations throughout the day, and running free mini-workshops where you can try your hand at making your own willow wand or bird feeder to take home.

There'll also be street food, local produce on sale and stalls from eco-friendly businesses, artists, and community groups.

A very different afternoon outing to my local pub, making some spiral baskets and dragonflies in the beer garden!

We faced an extra challenge with both willow and humans drying out in the heat 🥵, but well done everyone - some brilliant creations!

I always love that moment in a workshop when everyone's starting to pick up the weaving pattern, it all goes quiet and you can just sense the level of concentration 😄

One of the many reasons I love crafting with willow is that it's great for practicing mindfulness - if your focus isn't on what you're doing, it's all too easy to completely lose track!
