Excited to collect my artist's pack for Worcestershire Open Studios this year!

From August 22nd - 31st there'll be lots going on at Bransford Court Farm, including demos and activities from myself and several other fantastic artists.

There will be craft items available to buy throughout the week, regular making demos and the chance to have a go at some mini willow projects on the Wednesday.

I'll be at the farm as much as possible during the week but drop me a message if you'd like to confirm demo times or come down for a chat.

I'll also be running a full workshop making willow flowers on Saturday 29th August - there's only one space left to book, details on my events list if you'd like to join us!

Yesterday afternoon I had the honour of being invited to run a willow activity with a craft group from Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven - a charity supporting local people living with and recovering from breast cancer.

Everyone had some giggles, made beautiful willow swallows and there was just this amazing sense of support and looking out for each other. It genuinely meant a lot to be part of that space. 🩷

Doing workshops has introduced me to so many local groups supporting others, it's fantastic to see what a difference connection and community makes.

Evening I love willow weaving, having made a basket a couple of years ago. So when I found Jo at willow with Jo I was really excited to talk to her about running a class here! It won’t be until autumn time, but gauging interest before we get some dates sorted. Give me thumbs up if you want to join me in making a beautiful swallow or dragonfly for the garden 👍👍👍

I've been working on practicing frame baskets this week, I find it's a great project for when your head's feeling a bit overwhelmed...

It's a simple pattern but a slow process! There's no shortcuts, just keep weaving!

A lovely evening spent yesterday with Worcestershire Parent Carer Forum, making willow swallows.

A great challenge for me too in adapting how I've made these previously, to suit a much shorter timeslot and a larger group!

It was still a packed 90 mins, but 14 amazing swallows created, and lots of laughs had - well done all! 👏
