This one deserves a proper mention. 🌿

Becky has just completed her Level 2 Florist apprenticeship with a Distinction - and we’re incredibly proud of her.

She scored a rather brilliant 96% in her theory, and completed the whole course in just 14 months - seven months ahead of schedule.

Anyone who knows Becky will probably not be terribly surprised. She works hard, quietly gets on with whatever needs doing, has a lovely eye for flowers and has become such an important part of life at Gardenia.

It’s been really lovely watching her confidence and skill grow, and seeing her become the florist she is now - all while learning in the middle of a very real, and often very busy, flower shop.

96% and a Distinction. Not bad at all, Becky. 💐

A few weeks behind the scenes at Wimbledon. 🌿

Over the past few weeks, our team has been looking after the flowers and planting throughout IMG House and the IMG Suite during The Championships at Wimbledon.

It’s the sort of work that most people never notice, but that’s exactly how it should be.

Long before the first guests arrive, plants are delivered, displays are installed and every arrangement is carefully placed. Throughout the fortnight, everything is checked, refreshed and cared for each day before, finally, it all comes down again once the tournament is over.

From carrying towering arrangements through Wimbledon Village to transporting hundreds of plants across the grounds, it’s been a real team effort, and one we’re incredibly proud of.

While many people know us for flowers for home and weddings, projects like these are another side of what we do. We love working with businesses, hospitality venues and event organisers to create spaces that feel calm, welcoming and beautifully cared for.

It’s been a busy few weeks with projects across Wimbledon throughout The Championships, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

A special thank you to Lucy, who led the project from start to finish, and to Iyata for bringing every display to life with such care and consistency. It’s been a privilege to play a part in delivering it all.

We’re looking for an Apprentice Florist to join our team in Wimbledon and learn the craft of professional floristry whilst gaining a fully funded qualification.

Over the course of the apprenticeship you’ll gain hands-on experience creating bouquets, helping with weddings and events, working with customers and learning how a busy independent florist operates.

At Gardenia, sustainability sits at the heart of what we do. We use 100% home-compostable packaging, send none of our waste to landfill and believe floristry can balance beauty and practicality.

Tulip season is nearly over… and Tasha isn’t ready to let go 🌷

Arms full, shoulders doing the heavy lifting, and still going back for more. These deep red tulips - rich, velvety, almost like a good claret - alongside those beautifully fringed heads… it’s a bit of a last hurrah.

They only come like this for a short window - soft, generous, a little wild - and then they’re gone.

A few days left at most, we think. If you’ve been thinking about tulips, now’s the moment.
