Wow! What a first week it's been for HameCooked. 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who has placed an order, shared a post, recommended me to friends and family, or simply taken the time to follow the page. The support has been incredible and means so much to a new local business.

This week I've been busy preparing and delivering homemade meals across Shetland, all made from scratch using quality local ingredients. Seeing the orders come in and hearing your lovely feedback has made all the hard work worthwhile.

Sausage Casserole with mash
Homemade Lentil Soup

Everything is made from scratch using quality ingredients, prepared fresh and delivered ready to heat, refrigerate or freeze.

You’ve asked for lower prices on everyday essentials. From today, we will be trialling selling Shetland milk below the price of the 2 supermarkets. So, over to you, our valued customers. Buying your milk from local shops helps keep them in business and keeps the profits in Shetland rather than lining the pockets of supermarket shareholders. So next time you need a flask of milk, you can be confident you’re getting the best price and supporting local!

💚 First orders Complete! 💚

Today was a big day for HameCooked as my very first customer orders headed out the door! 😊

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me so far by following, sharing, recommending and placing orders. Seeing HameCooked go from an idea to delivering homemade meals across Shetland has been incredibly exciting.

This week's menu included:

As HameCooked continues to grow, I'd love to source even more ingredients directly from local producers wherever possible.

Using quality local ingredients is really important to me, and I’m proud to use excellent organic Shetland beef from a local family-run farm. Supporting local suppliers means fresher ingredients, better flavour and supporting our island community ❤️
