Top tips for making styling day easier on your budget

Wedding decor drop off is one of those small moments that can save you real money down the line. The less time we spend sorting and organising on site, the more of your styling hours go toward the details that actually show up in your photos.

A few things that help.

Sort place cards alphabetically or by table instead of dropping them all in one bag.

Bring a simple setup diagram or a saved inspo photo so we know exactly how you picture things.

Pack fragile items like frames and signage separately with padding.

Pre-tie ribbons, napkin folds, and small details ahead of time so we are not assembling them on site.

Leave an inventory list if you cannot be there for drop off.

F+J, Appuldercombe 2023

A day we’ll never forget at the beautiful Appuldercombe House.

There’s something about this venue that lends itself perfectly to a celebration like this one. The grounds, the light, the way every corner offers a new backdrop, it all came together beautifully on the day.

Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from timeless touches to romantic blooms, right through to the smallest finishing details that so often go unnoticed but make all the difference.

It was a celebration we had the pleasure of being part of, start to finish, and one that felt like a true reflection of F and J as a couple.

One marquee, four weddings, four completely different feels, all at Gatcombe Estate.

Same structure, same grounds, same golden light coming through in the evenings. What changes every time is the couple, the palette, the details they choose to make it theirs.

That’s the part we love most about this space. A marquee gives you a blank canvas and lets the wedding be entirely yours, nothing borrowed from the last couple who stood here.

Burgundy, olive and powder blue. Heirloom Hues is the palette we keep coming back to, rich and grounded with just enough softness to feel romantic instead of heavy.

It works for the couple who wants their wedding to feel timeless rather than trendy. Deep enough to photograph beautifully in every season, soft enough to still feel light on the day.
