Following our one-off trial a couple of weeks ago, ROAM cafe bistro in Houghton Regis will now be having me to host SpeedQuizzing once a month on a Friday!

Only TWO MORE TUESDAYS of SpeedQuizzing at The Sun - Hoddesdon, before I return to Jolly Postie - Royston - but we'll be carrying on indefinitely at The Sun on Wednesdays from September 16th!

So we're now into September, it looks like the heatwaves are over, but the fun continues - just maybe with coats on - so come and play with us tonight if you're down Hoddesdon way, and beat these teams. Which won't be hard, as Norfolk N Chance won't be chasing a third win in a row, as they're staying away until I return to Royston. So now our locals have a chance at the top!

The Bank Holiday weekend gave most of Stevenage a last chance for a summer getaway, leaving very few left to play our SpeedQuizzing music quiz at The Fisherman! The whole pub was eerily quiet, and in the conservatory there were just five teams - but we had quality, if not quantity!

Norfolk N Chance and Not One Man Down are regular players at Jolly Postie - Royston, but while they've been closed for two months for a huge refurb they've been travelling to Stevenage and Hoddesdon to play, and finished last night in first and third places.

We welcomed two new teams, SAAS (second) and Generations (fourth; a big team but the others had to leave early to get back to Berkshire), who put in a great performance and we hope to see you again. Finally in last place, Trivia Newton John came to play without the rest of their usually large team, but sadly finished at the bottom.

The next music quiz will be on Monday 30th November (we only do it when there is a fifth Monday, so roughly four times a year), but our General Knowledge quiz is every month on the first Thursday - so I'll see you later this week on September 3rd!

You ready for our MUSIC QUIZ? We do this at The Fisherman - Stevenage whenever there's a fifth Monday in the month, and it's TONIGHT! So charge up your iPads, smartphones or whatever you'll be using for SpeedQuizzing, book a table and join us tonight! And there'll also be Music Bingo!

CHANGES ARE COMING!

A refurb is done, and two SpeedQuizzing nights are changing!

Tuesdays from September 15th: The refurbishment of Jolly Postie - Royston has taken ages, but it's finally done and I'll be starting back there on September 15th.

Wednesdays from September 16th: While the Jolly Postie has been closed I've been hosting Tuesdays at The Sun - Hoddesdon. This new venue is going so well that I'll be continuing every week on Wednesdays!

Thursdays:
While we've had some good Wednesday nights at Club 124 in Bletchley, not every week has been busy. So from October we'll be switching to every second and fourth Thursday.

All other venues and dates continue as they are!

A mighty 17 teams packed into The Chieftain - Welwyn Garden City for SpeedQuizzing this week, which included two brand new teams!

In first place: Fo shizzle My Quizzle took the grand prize and certificate!

A pre-planned trip to Southend left us short of a few regulars at The Sun - Hoddesdon this week, but we still had a great night with seven teams!

Norfolk N Chance scored their second SpeedQuizzing win in a row, but their handicap points will probably have to be deducted at Jolly Postie - Royston when I start back there, as they told me they probably won't make it back to Hoddesdon before I go back to Royston! (Which will be soon - see the announcement in your private FB group SpeedQuizzing at The Sun).
