ALL KITE TRADERS - WIND POST 💨💨

Last year the wind and rain were horrendous (Gales) and certainly effected the footfall and a lot of the Trading - despite this it was a fabulous weekend and the trader cameradie was fabulous. 👌

This Year we are hoping for a much smoother weekend....... but you know the British Weather.....so...... 🤞🏼

Wind Speed Guidelines 💨💨
Under 30 km/h (< 19 mph): Safe for standard use, provided every leg is properly secured with heavy weights or anchors.

30 to 40 km/h (19 to 25 mph): Warning threshold. Standard pop-up structures become unstable. Most outdoor market regulations and event safety policies require re-securing fixings, removing sidewalls to let air through, or preparing to dismantle.

40 to 50 km/h (25 to 31 mph) / Beaufort Force 6: Mandatory take-down threshold. Winds in this range exert extreme horizontal force (roughly 100kg of pressure), which easily lifts improperly weighted canopies and bends temporary aluminum or steel frames.

Above 50 km/h (> 31 mph): Severe hazard level. Unattended or delayed disassembly risks catastrophic structural collapse and flying debris.
