Haymaking Season Is Here 🚜
Our fields are buzzing with activity as haymaking gets underway. After days of sunshine, the grass is cut, turned, and baled, ready to provide quality feed for horses in the months ahead. We are so lucky to be able to do this all around the grounds of Longleat estate as well as the farm at Whitbourne!
Making hay is one of the most important jobs of the farming year. It takes good weather, careful timing, and plenty of hard work, but there’s nothing quite like seeing neat rows of freshly baled hay across the fields, and the perks of getting ice cream from Longleat at the end!
