🌧️ Weekend Weather Update 🌧️

Unfortunately, the Great British weather has struck again! 😞

After reviewing the weather forecast for today, Saturday and Sunday, we’re expecting strong winds and rain throughout the weekend. Forecast gusts are showing over 24mph.

Inflatables must not be operated in wind gusts exceeding 24mph. As always, customer safety is always our top priority.

A huge thank you to all of the customers who have already been in touch earlier this week to rearrange their bookings after keeping an eye on the forecast themselves. Your understanding, patience and flexibility are greatly appreciated and make situations like this much easier to manage. ❤️

I honestly can’t believe what a difficult start to the year it’s been for cancellations 😞

In the past 4 weeks alone, I’ve had more party cancellations than I had during the whole of last year. Unfortunately it’s been a mix of the weather and genuine family emergencies for customers, which of course always comes first ❤️

I had 2 bookings today, and although both of the bouncy castles had to be cancelled because of the rain, one family still went ahead with a little bespoke indoor package instead, using some games and parts of the soft play that would fit inside the house so the little one could still enjoy their 1st birthday party 🥳

Just as a reminder:
🌧️ Any deposits paid for outdoor parties that can’t go ahead due to unsafe weather conditions such as heavy rain or strong winds are fully refunded.

❤️ For parties cancelled due to family emergencies, I’ve been keeping deposits on hold so customers can rebook for a later date when things are hopefully a little easier.

Fingers crossed the weather improves soon and we can have a much better rest of the year than the start we’ve had so far 🤞☀️

Important Update Regarding Delivery & Travel Charges ⛽️🚗

Due to the continued increase in fuel, vehicle, and general running costs, I unfortunately need to make some changes to travel charges for future bookings.

✨ Any bookings already confirmed will NOT be affected.

✅ NO travel charges within a 5-mile radius of Willington Quay.

Please note: South Tyneside addresses will incur a £10 charge to cover tunnel/toll fees.

For locations outside of the included area, travel will be charged at £15 per hour of travel time.

Example:
If your venue is approximately 30 minutes away, this requires around 2 hours of total travel time for delivery, collection, and return travel, resulting in an additional £30 travel charge, plus any applicable toll fees.

🎉 Quick Booking Reminder 🎉

Just a little heads up when you're booking your party venues…

If your party is booked, for example, from 2pm–5pm, please remember that I’ll need a bit of time either side to set up and pack away. Ideally, this is around 30 minutes before and after your party time.

Some venues are happy for me to set up outside of your booked time, but others aren’t, so it’s always best to double check with them when booking. You may need to allow a little extra time on your venue hire to make sure everything runs smoothly.

This helps avoid any last-minute stress and means I can get everything ready for you just right 🎈

We’re buzzing to announce that Party Tyne will be back at Coast Fest again this year! 🎉

We’re so grateful & can’t wait to do it all over again, last year was unreal. Kids were having that much fun, some bounced for 8+ hours straight each day! 🙌

🌬️ Outdoor Party Safety Notice 🌬️

When it comes to outdoor parties, safety always comes first.

Before any outdoor setup goes ahead, I check the Met Office forecast carefully. It’s not just the standard wind speed that matters, it’s the gust speeds. Sudden, sharp gusts are what can cause serious issues with inflatables.

🚫 If gust speeds are forecast at 24mph or above, I will not be able to set up.

Although I do have an anemometer to measure wind on the day, I don’t stay to supervise events, so I’m unable to monitor conditions throughout the party. For that reason, I have to make the call in advance based on the forecast.

💡 If your party is coming up and the forecast is showing higher winds, it’s a really good idea to look at securing an indoor venue as a backup, so your party can still go ahead.

💰 If your party can’t go ahead due to wind conditions, your deposit will be fully refunded.

I completely understand how disappointing this can be, and I never want to ruin anyone’s plans. But I won’t take risks when it comes to:
• Children’s safety
• My business and insurance (which becomes invalid in unsafe conditions)
• The very real dangers that inflatables pose in high winds

Your safety will always come before anything else, including profit.
