𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 🛼🏒

Our Junior Roller Hockey programme has been growing, and we’re excited to share that sessions have now been split into two groups based on age and ability — just like we do for Ball Hockey.

This change helps us support even more juniors, making sure coaching can be more focused, sessions run more smoothly, and every young player gets the right level of challenge to continue developing.

Please see the updated session times below:
Roller Hockey sessions now run fortnightly on a Monday.

Our Learn to Skate sessions have been restructured but don’t worry — we’ve still got you covered! 🛼💫

We’re now running Open Skate Sessions, where our coaches will be out on the rink giving quick tips and guidance to anyone who wants a little extra help. They’ll spend a couple of minutes with each skater to offer support and boost confidence.

A huge thank you to North Tyneside VODA for hosting yesterday’s Mental Health Alliance networking event.

It was fantastic to come together with so many dedicated third-sector organisations, take part in the ‘speed-dating’ activities to learn more about each other’s work, and join the round-table discussions exploring gaps in provision and opportunities for further collaboration.

There is excellent work happening across North Tyneside, and we’re proud to be part of such a constructive and forward-thinking conversation.

Starting this evening, we’re launching our Adults Only Social Skate at Temple Park!

🌊 Exciting Update for All Junior Shark Tails Players! 🦈

To help every young athlete get the most out of their hockey experience, Junior Shark Tails Hockey has now split into two groups based on age and ability!

This allows our coaches to tailor sessions more effectively, ensure the right level of challenge, and create the best environment for learning, confidence, and FUN. 🙌

🏒 New Group Structure & Times:

6–7pm — Mako Sharks
For our developing juniors who are building foundational skills and confidence.

7–8pm — Hammerhead Sharks
For our older or more experienced juniors ready for a faster-paced session.

We’re excited for this next step and can’t wait to see our juniors thrive! 💙

Huge congratulations to the NE Samurai Roller Hockey squad! 🥋🏒

Following in the footsteps of the NE Ninjas’ success last weekend, the Samurais stepped into their first-ever roller hockey tournament — with half the team experiencing competitive hockey for the very first time. And what a debut it was!

They faced two tough defeats against well-established, experienced teams, but showed incredible determination, teamwork, and spirit throughout.

And then came the moment to remember…

💥 A fantastic victory — scoring 8 goals!
Their first tournament win, and an emphatic one at that. Every player contributed, every shift mattered, and the energy was unreal.

This is just the beginning for NE Samurai. The progress, passion, and positivity on display promise an exciting future ahead.

Well done, NE Samurais — you made the whole club proud! 🔥🏒

Power Through Sport see great value of minority sports to capture the attention of those that slip through the net of mainstream sports. Specialising in Ball Hockey, Roller Hockey and Roller Skating PTS hope to launch a fully inclusive and comprehensive School and Community programme, targeting those considering themselves allergic to sport. With a little work and a lot of love we hope to establish a home for these sports to flourish... the PowerPad is just around the corner.
