I'm back with you on HALLOWEEN 🎃 for the return of THE MONSTER MASH - a bangin' Halloween party with spooky classics and ghostly cheese all played from 7" vinyl by an actual undead disc jockey! Our next "Wow" night at The Red Shed is on 7th November - we've got quite a following with these residentials and it'd be lovely to see you! The music goes where you want it to - from punk to disco, ska to soul, chart hits to cult bangers, all dealt from 7" vinyl singles by a proper disc jockey, with classic dancefloor lights and a bangin' sound!

Mid-flow last night at The Red Shed - and what a night! The playlist sometimes doesn't quite go where I expect it to, but we had lots of folk who'd stayed after the rugby final, and plenty of new guests who'd been to the gig up at WX. Thanks so much for coming along!

Next one at The Red Shed is Saturday 7 November, but there are a couple of nights elsewhere before then. I'll post about those soon!

LET THERE BE ROCK! 🤘🏻

We're back at The Red Shed, Wakefield this Saturday 3 October for a rock, metal and indie special, with headbangers and bops from the 60s up to the 00s - a rock disco just like they used to be! Expect everything from Floyd to Suede, Sabbath to Blink-182, Maiden to Manson - all played from original 7" vinyl singles by a real actual proper disc jockey.

Due to the Super League Grand Final, needle goes down a bit later than usual at 8:15pm, but we go onto 11:30pm as usual, requests are welcome and the dancefloor is OPEN 💃🏼🪩🕺🏼

HEADS-UP! Some of you will be aware Wakefield Trinity have got to the Super League Grand Final, so we'll be starting Saturday's Roadshow at The Red Shed in Wakefield a little later than normal: needle goes down at 8:15pm, but it'll be an absolute banger when we get going!

It's a Rock & Indie Special, so expect proper music from 60s psych right up to 00s skate rock, and everything in the middle, tracks from acts from Marilyn Manson to Frank Zappa, Nirvana to Pink Floyd, Blink-182 to Blur - and everything else too because as always, requests are welcome and the dancefloor is OPEN! 💃🏼🪩🕺🏼

Had a smashing time at The Red Shed yesterday for the 60th Birthday celebrations, with Mr Oxley hosting bingo and Play Your Cards Right, and "Jessie's Jukebox" - a music quiz which ran throughout the afternoon! The music quiz featured some classic Wakefield acts too: Brad Newman, Be Bop Deluxe, The Donkeys, The Muldoon Brothers and The Cribs to name but a few.

Back there on Saturday for the more traditional disco night, slightly later this month due to the Rugby Grand Final - needle down at 8:15pm!

I'm up at The Red Shed in Wakefield this afternoon playing some tunes to bring the 60th birthday celebrations to a close! There'll be prizes in "JESSIE'S JUKEBOX", a free music quiz which includes a round of Wakefield artists (all played from 7", naturally)! The Famous Mr Steve Oxley will also be hosting a couple of rounds of bingo and Play Your Cards Right. Plenty of Red Shed birthday cake left too! The shenanigans start at 1:30pm, come early to get a table!

On a road trip this weekend picking up some fun new disco equipment, but had time to pop via Wantage to visit a record fair, and happened upon the rather smashing Play It Again Records, where owner Mike was quite happily using a classic Citronic console in the shop! Left with some absolute bops, ready for October's discos!
