In May we hosted our first live music space at Fox&Badge where a host of Celtic-inspired artists performed before flowing into fertile collaboration with so many of our DJs. It was an absolute dream of energy, creativity and improvisation.

We’ve always welcomed live musicians to accompany our DJs, but this went so much further, and it feels like - so fitting for an event which is so focused on embodiment - live voice and instrumentation in their standalone form are here to stay at Fox&Badge.

We’ve just booked our first two live acts for WILD WEST on 12 Sept where we’ll be going full country western at our outdoor live music Campfire (complete with techno-hoedown) ;)

It was such a joy to work with all these geniuses, and be gently healed by all their various vibrations! These photos feature .soul .listening.voice

We hope you can join us next month;

✨Wild West Style Upgrade ✨Check out Our Costume Workshop
Ready to turn heads Cowboy? It’s all in the details. Here’s how to pimp your Wild West look:
Fringes & Tassels: Leather or suede fringes on jackets, vests, and skirts—every step becomes a statement.
Bands & Belts: Layer leather belts, chains, or patterned fabric bands around your waist, hat, or boots. Mix textures for maximum impact.
Accessories & Ornaments: Chunky bracelets, layered necklaces, bolo ties, hat pins, feathers… don’t forget spurs!
Hats & Boots: Wide-brimmed hats and statement boots. Metallic studs or decorative stitching add the extra flair.
Tip: Combine textures, layers, and small ornaments to make your outfit uniquely yours. Cowboy hats and boots are great, but it’s the fringes, tassels, and bling that take your Wild West look to legendary status.

🎨 Come join us at our costume workshop on September 2nd! Learn all the tips and tricks with working with harnesses & fringing

💎Rhinestone Cowboys 💎
Why settle for plain when you can shine like a Wild West superstar? It’s all about glitz, sparkle, and attitude and DIY Style!

Rhinestone Jackets & Vests: Think cowboys and cowgirls who sparkle in the sun. Add rhinestone patches, studs, or appliqués to denim or leather for that eye-catching shimmer.

Hats & Boots: Embellish your hatband with crystals or studs. Boots? Glitter, metallic tips, or rhinestone straps turn every step into a showstopper.

Belts & Accessories: Sparkly belts, bolo ties with bling, and layered necklaces make your outfit unforgettable.

Attitude: The rhinestones aren’t just decoration—they’re your swagger. Strut like every dancefloor is a saloon in full swing and let our dance floor lights turn you into a disco ball.

✨ Tip: More means more Cowboy!

🎂 Did you know? Birthdays on The Frontier!
Fox & Badge offer a special little gift to all those celebrating their birthdays at our main events.

There’s something powerful about marking a birthday surrounded by music, magic, and mischief — and at Fox&Badge Wild West, we’ll honour it in true outlaw style.
Whether it’s your actual birthday, or close enough to count, we invite you to celebrate this turn around the sun with a sacred little ritual of your own:

Not to spoil the secret but you can look forward to a multi-hand birthday massage from our team of loving renegades! — Just one of our gifts to you.
Because every birthday is a re-birth. A step into a new year. A moment of wild renewal. And what better place to mark it than right here, in this temporary town of dreamers and dusty miracles?

🎁 If you or a loved one is celebrating around September 12th, email [email protected] with “Wild West Birthday” in the subject.
Include the celebrant’s name, WhatsApp number, and birthday date, and let us know who we’re celebrating. Our fantastic Welfare Fairies will be in touch to arrange your treat.

🎩🎩Think you know the cowboy hat? Think again.🎩🎩
Think the cowboy hat has always been the icon of the Old West? Think again! Historians reveal that early cowboys often preferred bowler (derby) hats—they were practical, built to stay put while riding through branches, they stayed on in the wind, and were way more common than the wide-brimmed styles we see today. The now‑legendary Stetson, and the (perhaps) little flashy silhouette of Hollywood yarn wasn’t introduced until 1865.

Though iconic now, it only really became a cowboy staple toward the end of the 19th century.

So next time you picture a cowboy, swap your mental image: rugged denim and spurs, sure—and maybe try a Derby hat? That was the real, stylish truth of the frontier.

COSTUME MAKING WORKSHOP✨🧵

Last night, our incredible costume dream team gathered to start plotting magic for the Wild West Costume Making Workshop — happening Tuesday Sept 2nd, with a special focus on harnesses! 🤠
In just a few short hours, they conjured fringe, flair, and some seriously impressive results — check out these sneak peeks! 👀
On Sept 3rd, we fire up the rivet guns, gather the gang, and ride into the Fox&Badge frontier in full renegade style.

No experience? No problem.

We believe everyone has an inner artisan ready to break free from convention. Our workshops are about co-creation, confidence, and community — where each costume becomes a thread in the massive art project that is every Fox & Badge night.

🎨 Led by the fabulously creative Ines, Karinne, Andy, and Naila — who’ve been at the heart of our costume workshops — plus some special guest experts in the fine art of harness-making.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or just need a little creative nudge, this one’s for you. Come connect, create, and leave knowing you’ll be outfit-ready for Wild West on Sept 12th at Studio 338.

UPDATED PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY (NEW RED WRISTBANDS)
https://www.foxandbadge.com/blog/introducing-no-photo-wristbands
We are an arts event, brimming with all kinds of artistic content, much of it visual.
We want to share all that artistry and experience with both our attendees and our larger community, and photography plays a very key role in that.
We need to be able to share what we do to survive.
We all have very different relationships to photography at events.
Some attendees want to film everything; some wish there was no photography at all at any event.
We strive to strike a measured, respectful, sensible balance where:
-we are lightly permissive yet fully respectful & consensual; protective yet open
-we can clearly communicate what our events are like
-we can be open, inviting, inclusive, unsecretive
-we can maintain clear records of all the beautiful various strands of each event
-we can offer a relatively phone-free environment, with very few phones out
-everyone’s individual desire for privacy can be addressed
-guests can clearly request not to be photographed, and for any imagery to be fully removed
-guests can enjoy happy visual memories
-cast & crew can share and benefit from their immense artistry
We hire an unsurpassable team of photographers and videographers.
We have spent many years refining our process and relationship with them, our events, and our community, and we are deeply proud and respectful of their incredible work.
They have to all work incredibly quickly to try & capture a fraction of the complex scenes, and it’s impossible & impractical for them to individually ask consent of everyone in shot.
They do their very best, avoid shooting anything clearly private, and prioritise immediate image-removal requests.
We have many times contemplated a blanket guest ban on photography, but feel that it is out of keeping with the visual, artistic, permissive and open nature of our event.
And so we strive to find a good balance, respecting all sides.
We acknowledge and apologise that sadly we’ll probably never satisfy everyone.
We recently ran an awesome 2nd version of our Sensual SpeedDating event at our camp at Borderland (the Swedish burn), where the ethos is 100% against any form of photography, so we of course took no photos. We thus have no means to convey to & reassure potentially-anxious future non-burn attendees how beautiful, blissful, gentle, innocent and loving the experience was.
A rigid rule closed a door to many possible futures.
We respect that, but deeply feel it is neither fully necessary, nor ideal for this community.
We believe it is possible to be fully present at an event whilst still taking the occasional, judicious, consensual photograph, and we believe we can trust our community to behave well & responsibly around this.
To better protect the privacy of all attendees who wish for it, we are introducing 2 new measures:
1) All guests and attendees will be offered at the door the choice of a bright red “Please Do Not Photograph Me” wristband; & photographers will fully avoid shooting them.
2) Anyone wishing to not be photographed can also email us (minimum 2 days in advance) at foxandbadge+[email protected] with a clear photo/s of their face, which we can then distribute to our media team in advance.
We welcome other, better ideas that enable us to best approach all the nuances of this topic, and create the best possible environment for as many people as possible.
Anyone can always email us to request any image removal, at any time, no matter how far after the event, and prompt action will be taken.
This topic can be inflaming and triggering for some and we gently request that any responses are moderate and considerate, and recognise we are all doing our best to mediate between varied needs, emotions and mindsets

🩲 It’s National Underwear Day
Every 5th August, we celebrate the humble garments that do the heavy lifting —offer us comfort, confidence and support.

Launched in 2003 to spotlight body positivity and the evolution of undergarments, Underwear Day is a nod to what we wear closest — from functional to flamboyant.

🤠 In the Wild West, underwear wasn’t just about modesty — it was practical, it was survival. Cotton long johns kept the cowboys warm. Layers mattered in the dust, heat and saddle. Corsets sculpted silhouettes and asserted status. Bloomers gave a flash of rebellion under those bustles.

Today, it’s not just about what’s practical — it’s about what’s playful.
So slip into something that straddles the line between rugged and risqué:
🌶️ Laced-up corsets, leather harnesses, soft cotton briefs, vintage slips, ropework accents, a flash of garter under your fringe, or even a bare-legged wink beneath your chaps.
Give ‘em a glimpse of grit and desire — the Wild West had more secrets than you can shake your

🔥 Costume Inspiration: Wild West Lingerie Looks
• Saloon Siren: Red satin corset, black lace garters, netted tights, cowboy boots. Add a feathered hairpiece or choker.
• Rope-Ready Wrangler: High-waisted briefs, leather corset, rope accents, maybe even a lasso harness.
• Whiskey & Lace: Bloomers with a sheer chemise, loosely laced corset, and layered petticoat left slightly unbuttoned.

COSTUME MAKING WORKSHOP - 3 Sept: Out here on the frontier, there ain't no hiding behind city manners or polite pretenses. Every strap tells a story, every piece of fringe dances ;)

Get ready for an evening of leather, lace, and lawless creativity at our Costume Making Night as we prepare for our night of dust, desire, and reckoning at Wild West: https://www.foxandbadge.com/meetups-3t4f9/costume-making-wild-west

For this workshop, we're strapping in and standing out with cowboy harnesses that know how to work and play.

In the traditional tack room, harnesses were built for purpose - to control, support, display strength. But when the Wild West meets after-dark elegance, things get deliciously playful. We'll be crafting pieces that blur the line between function and fantasy, between ranch-ready and saloon-sultry.

WE PROVIDE:

All essential materials (supple leather strips, fringe that dances, buckles and hardware)
Expert guidance from makers who know their way around both leather and longing
Templates and design inspiration for harnesses
Tools for cutting, punching, and precise assembly

No prior experience necessary! The frontier's waiting, and it's thirsty for what you're bringing

Join us for a community costume-making night where we'll be crafting sultry cowboy harnesses with fringe and leather for our night of dust, desire, and reckoning at Wild West.
