NO QUIZ TONIGHT AT CLUB 124

Well, that's brought my busy week to a shuddering halt! I've had busy quizzes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday this week, but despite five teams having booked for tonight, three of them have since cancelled. As Club 124 is a privately owned business with no backing from a big pub company, Charlotte can't afford to just crack on with nights like this and hope for walk-ins, so unfortunately tonight has had to be cancelled.

We can only carry on in future if we have CONFIRMED BOOKINGS, so if you're planning on coming next week then please BOOK ONLINE as far ahead as possible, as having a small number of bookings and hoping a couple more may turn up just isn't financially viable.

More teams than usual crammed into The Chieftain - Welwyn Garden City for this fortnight's SpeedQuizzing with Quizmaster Shaun, and Fleetwood Maccas were close to yet another win but their handicap points dropped them to second, paving the path for LINER to take the win!

World Cup over... payday has been round... Now we start packing 'em in at The Sun - Hoddesdon! Our already impressive SpeedQuizzing turnout was boosted to TWELVE TEAMS last night, and by the end of the holidays I wouldn't be surprised to see 20 teams in there!

It was the speed bonus on the final question that saw Not One Man Down leapfrog over Imagine Living In A S***hole, which earns them a -25 point handicap next time we see them!

Below them it was a silver voucher for Norfolk N Chance, and another one (as I'd forgotten to pack the Golden Tickets) for Garcia & His Hunks.

It was great to see so many of you, and some brand new players too! See you for the next one next Tuesday.

TWO FOR TUESDAY!

Despite the World Cup going on for a few weeks, the turnout has been better than expected at The Sun - Hoddesdon and The Chieftain - Welwyn Garden City - so now it's over, we're expecting full houses tonight!

Another great night of SpeedQuizzing at The Lord Kitchener - New Barnet is behind us, and despite a cancelled bus making Claire and Victoria late for the start of the quiz, Whatbus??? still won!

A fasttrrack pushed our bar team and guests to the top, leaving them in second place at the end, and Barbet Bandits came close to winning but were beaten down to third.

After months of taking the lead during the quiz but ending up in second or third place, Up The 'Orse have finally won - and by a massive 91 points over Quizlamic State in second place!
