Last night was a private al fresco SpeedQuizzing event, held in the sunshine in the garden of Buckden Towers in Cambridgeshire for the staff of the local village surgery. With 30 players across five teams, they were a very competitive bunch! Usually a team name like "Winners" would be a terrible omen, but that team actually did win!

Did you know I do private SpeedQuizzing events? Tonight I'll be quizzing the staff of a doctor's surgery out in Cambridgeshire! Despite it being hot as hell and a social event on a Saturday, I'm sure as medical professionals they'll be sticking to the recommended alcohol unit intake... 😁

Mon: SpeedQuizzing at The Lord Kitchener, New Barnet
Tues: SpeedQuizzing at The Jolly Postie, Royston while Shaun is SpeedQuizzing at The Chieftain, WGC
Wed: SpeedQuizzing at The Cellar Bar Bedford and Shaun will be SpeedQuizzing at The Millstream, Hitchin
Thurs: A1 SpeedQuizzing Thursdays for our monthly quiz at The Red Lion - Hatfield!

First one is always a quiet one, but that gave all four of our SpeedQuizzing teams a fighting chance at winning, and all four were in the lead at various points! By the end though, our first winners of our new monthly quiz at Yorkshire Grey in Biggleswade were mum, dad and daughter team Only Fools No Horses. And in second place, the bar team won a bottle of their own wine!

Thanks to everyone who played. Spread the word and we'll hope for more teams at the next one on Thursday 14th August!

Good to be busy...again! We had nine SpeedQuizzing teams at The Cellar Bar Bedford this week, and Two Girls One Quiz managed to beat 3 Of A Kind by three points! Huge congrats to Willow and Jack!

I started to wonder halfway through if our bar team might actually win, but Marley and Hugo managed fourth place for the spot prize. And it was Daz, Julie (trying to hide) and Tracey who put in a lot of effort, but finished last.

After many months of playing, Quizonyerface have finally joined the elite group of teams who have won our Tuesday SpeedQuizzing at Jolly Postie - Royston!

It was looking very much like Maths Debaters might gain that honour, but a few wrong answers and lack of speed in the final round left them in second place.

Our mid place team was Drop The Mike, and in last place - despite help from one member of the bar team on a night off - Olos took the 20 point head start voucher. Well played by Neo and Michelle though!

Our busiest Monday SpeedQuizzing yet at Big Jay's! Steve, Paul and Scott lost their lead before gaining it back in time for the end, leaving Sonia, Gavin, Joe and Lewis trailing in second place.

Our previous first time winners, Tequila Mockingbird, finished at the halfway position for the sweeties, with Caitlin And Kyle unusually winding up at the bottom!

Twelve SpeedQuizzing teams at South End Green Social last night, and all of our prize winners were solo players! Quiff Richard took the lead from TEiAM during the final round, leaving Soji and Seb as the Top 2 at the end of the night. Matthew played alone as Green Hedgehogs this week, and managed the middle spot for the spot prize.

Our bottom team took off too quickly to receive their 20 point voucher!

Lots of new faces again, so thank you all for joining us. Hope to see you again next Sunday!

Just when you think each monthly SpeedQuizzing event in the conservatory at The Fisherman - Stevenage is as busy as can be, the amazing staff manage to move the tables around to fit in even more amazing teams!

For our July quiz we managed 13 teams, with two of them sitting outside enjoying the warm weather on the patio! Most were regulars, some were first time players, and two teams were entirely new, and managed to get the hang of things very quickly.

Ty, Kat, Kirsty and Hollie surged ahead in the final round to bag a win for Quiz P. Bacon, with BEERS finishing in second. Two boxes of Maltesers went to The Kooks and Magnificent 7, and having redeemed last month's head start voucher for coming last, the three ladies of Fantastic Four won it back! (Maybe their missing friend would have helped them climb higher?)
