Gate Street is a family-run farm & events venue, set in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Our regenerative farm is home to a herd of English Longhorn cattle, Lleyn Sheep, and Mangalitsa Pigs. We are passionate about rebuilding and restoring soil health and our aim is to produce high quality, nutrient-dense food from livestock reared within a sustainable agricultural system

. Gate Street Barn can be found nestled within our working farm and is a renowned location for all seasons and all events, with over 20 years experience. Positioned just south of Guildford, our rural setting makes for an enchanting venue to host weddings, birthday celebrations, client workshops and team away-days. Our on-site accommodation portfolio offers an escape from city life and the chance to experience traditional country living with all the added luxuries to make for a dreamy stay. Due to its proximity to Central London, our location is a hugely popular filming location due its outstanding beauty. We have multiple parking sites, diverse architecture, farm animals and a landscape that is second to none.

Join us on Friday 10 October 2025; doors open at 6:30pm for drinks in the Pheasantry and the show kicks off at 8pm in our charming rustic Barn.

Laugh the night away with our stellar line-up featuring Michael Legge, Keith Farnan & Iszi Lawrence. 🎭

Feast before the fun with our very own Longhorn Beef burgers and Oxford Sandy & Black hot dogs, then settle in for a fresh line-up of stand-up and improv that is sure to have you rolling in the aisles!

Early Bird tickets are just £20 (limited availability!) and standard tickets are £25. Parking is free, the venue is fully accessible (wheelchair lift, hearing loop available) and taxis are recommended to be pre-booked due to our countryside location.

Our Story

'A venue for all seasons set in the beautiful Surrey Hills amongst bluebell country woods on a working farm, with our hobby herd of English Longhorns looking on.' Gate Street Barn near Bramley, 5 miles south of Guildford, is built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees lost on the farm in the 1987 hurricane.

We are a private and exclusive venue with years of experience and ideal facilities for Wedding Receptions, Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships and other celebrations such as Wedding Anniversary Lunches, Birthday Parties or Bar Mitzvahs. Feel free to contact us over the phone or email to organise a viewing of the venue and our accommodation (due to the nature of the venue we cannot do walk in appointments as we are often booked for private events)
