Smoke & Mirrors Smoke & Mirrors create fully interactive, bespoke murder mystery events for people who enjoy unforgettable nights out.

Some “murder mysteries” are simply downloadable packages designed for small groups playing at home; others are put on for larger parties with a few actors and a vague sense of structure. We give you a detailed and believable scenario, unforgettable set-pieces, excellent comedy, and storylines you can really get your teeth into. All our events feature a full cast of brilliant professional actors. T

hey’ll play out scenes in your midst, sit with you, talk to you, and let you interrogate them. Then there’ll be a murder (perhaps more than one), and it’ll be up to you to work who did it, why they did it, and what they did it with. What a brilliant weekend we had last weekend! The first event was an “Ancestral Vices” for Jenny’s birthday which set the bar very high indeed. This group of fantastic actors really went for it, but the chocolates were won by Tony for a seriously scary death scene. Some great sleuthing too, but top was Mary who was rewarded with the champers. Thank you all for a fabulous event!

We love working at The Bull at Brenchley and our midweek visit was as good as ever. Jon’s friends were a really wonderful audience – great performances and so much laughter! The chocolates were won by Tom for his hilarious and unforgettable response to a supernatural experience in the second act. To be honest the sleuthing wasn’t quite as good as the acting, but the champagne was won by Christophe and Fabienne on the tie-breaker – vive La France!!!

Next up was a hilarious “Bone of Contention” for Erzsebet’s hens, and what a brilliant crowd they were! Monica won the hard-fought chocolates for her fabulous Cristabel and top sleuth was Daniela. Huge thanks to Lauren for great organisation and to you all for being such fun!

First event on Saturday was a “Bone of Contention” for Becca’s friends and family. What an audience!! Stunning performances and so much laughter. There was some pretty good detective work too with several people getting the murderer. In the end the fizz went to Ashleigh, whose answer was the most accurate. The chocs were won by Leanne for her brilliant Ethel, but it wasn’t an easy decision.
Thank you all for being so welcoming and so much fun!

Last Friday's second event was a wonderful "Burying the Hatchet" to entertain Rebecca's wedding guests ahead of the big day on the Saturday. An amazing audience and a stunning venue. We hope you all had a fabulous day at the wedding - the marquees looked stunning.

Looking back to last weekend, which kicked off with two brilliant events on Friday. First off was Jeremy’s stag do, which was an absolute riot! This terrific audience really went for it and embraced the crazy characters in “Bone of Contention”. The chocolates went to Tristan for his Scottish Bonnie and totally bonkers Cristabel and top sleuth was Roger. Huge thanks to Drew for great organisation. It was a fab night with the stags!!

July got off to a flying start when Anneka's amazing friends helped her to celebrate he hen do in style. Brilliant actresses but not quite such wonderful detectives!! However Jyoti won the chocolates for her brilliant Ethel Clapp and Neetu made off with the Prosecco.

"MALICE IN WONDERLAND"
MURDER MYSTERY & HOG ROAST

The King of Hearts is dead, the Mad Hatter’s lost the March Hare, the White Rabbit is completely plastered, Alice appears to have kidnapped the Duchess’ baby, and Queenie’s on the rampage.
Dress as your favourite Wonderland Character if you like, and come and join in this fabulous event at Wilton Windmill. The ticket includes a generous hog roast buffet (with a vegetarian/vegan option), with salads and all the trimmings. There’s plenty of parking, a cash bar and it’s a fabulous setting!
There will be first-class comedy, terrific actors, a murder or two, and prizes of champagne and chocolates.

What a fantastic evening we had on Saturday in beautiful Bath! Erin’s friends were just amazing – wonderful performances, not an innuendo missed and so many laughs. Thank you ladies – you were brilliant!

"Malice in Wonderland", the great Murder Mystery and Hog Roast at Wilton Windmill is ALMOST SOLD OUT!!!!

There are just 12 tickets left and when they're gone, they're gone.....

The King of Hearts is dead, the Mad Hatter’s lost the March Hare, the White Rabbit is completely plastered, Alice appears to have kidnapped the Duchess’ baby, and Queenie’s on the rampage.

To fortify the inner sleuth, the ticket includes a generous hog roast buffet specially prepared on site (with a vegetarian option), with salads, artisan breads and rolls, mustards and all the trimmings.

There’s plenty of parking, a cash bar and it’s a fabulous setting!
And to complete the evening there will be there will be first-class comedy, terrific actors, a murder or two, programmes, clues, prizes of champagne and chocolates – and of course fully-costumed Alice in Wonderland characters as you’ve never seen them before!
