Focus on you!!

As most of you know, I’m out of action for the next 2 (ish) weeks…..🥺

However I have had lots of requests for 1:1s and feedback from my regulars and non-regular clients after South West Champs….

While I am not able to dance, I can still offer support and feedback from the comfort of my sofa! Get in touch if you want me to review videos or do a ‘zoom’ session with you!

✍️The Unwritten Rules of Social Dancing✍️

Whether you’ve been dancing for years or have just joined us, here’s a quick reminder of the things that make our scene shine:

🌟 1-2 dances is the norm.
It’s always lovely to connect with someone on the floor—but in social dancing, we tend to dance one or two songs with each partner before rotating. It gives everyone a chance to meet more people and keeps the energy flowing.

🌟 It’s okay to say (and hear) “no thank you.”
Dancing is a shared experience—and mutual consent is always key. Whether someone says no due to needing a break, wanting to chat, or simply wanting to rotate partners, that’s always their choice. No pressure, no hard feelings.

🌟 Our higher-level dancers are here for the room, not just one person.
Many of the pros and experienced dancers at our socials are balancing requests from all directions! Let’s enjoy the dances we do get with them, and give them space to connect with others too.

🌟 Floorcraft is part of your dancing.
Great dancers don’t just focus on what they want to do—they’re tuned in to the space around them. If the floor is busy, keeping things small and safe isn’t just polite—it’s skillful.

🌟 Kindness comes first. Always.
We’re here to enjoy ourselves, grow our dancing, and lift each other up. A smile, a thank you, and a bit of patience go a long way. 😊

What a busy few days I've had!

Saturday - I was in Bristol delivering the first of 2 workshops with Mevans Dance ( We do it all again this week too)
Sunday - was our Summer Party
Monday - our last dance fit before September, followed by a fabulous evening of teaching Modern Jive (LeRo) with Mark Oborn and MJ/Salsa Fusion with Shawn White

All this and my regular classes and 'focus on you' lessons!
AND I have another busy one this week!

Join me for Funky Boot Modern Line Dance Class, Dance Fit with Dee - Wed 7pm Class, Solo Charleston Classes - Drop in - New Members welcome, Simply dance and the second of 2 Solo Performance workshops! ALL THIS WEEK!
