Stepping into the last month of my 40s has me feeling all kinds of reflective.

Life today is pretty amazing — full of people I love, experiences I’m grateful for, and moments I never take for granted. But I’ll be honest… it looks nothing like the version of life I imagined back in my 20s. And that’s not a bad thing. Sometimes the unexpected paths bring you exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Here’s to embracing the twists, appreciating the growth, and celebrating the journey — every beautifully imperfect step of it. 💛

It's Friday so the weekend starts here!

When I set up Virtually Everywhere it was with the express intention of working for myself and doing the work that I love for companies and people that I enjoy working with.

The side benefits are that I get to work wherever I like, my mental health is so much better that I feel able to have a life outside of work, I work on cool projects and can feed my creative side too!

If anyone had told me that after just over 2 years things would feel so different for me I wouldn't have believed them.

Do the thing. Live your best life. You only get one.

Is there anything better than upgrading your office space to make things feel more spacious?

This week I have done just that, adding a screen and laptop stand that attaches to the desk (daft thing that I have always wanted as it look dead posh).

There's a few simple ways to make your business run smoothly, having a clear space and getting someone (couch, cough - me) to do the admin are two really simple things that help!

On a rainy Monday morning it's time to play with ideas!

After 2 days of train travel it's obvious that I have had a lot of time to think. That thinking has been about my business and the things that I want to achieve, and then something occured to me. As a Virtual Assistant I am the supporting act, the equivalent of the stage manager in the theatre, making sure that everything is in the right place and that any everything runs smoothly!

Then I got to thinking about time off and how I don't take it often, not because I don't want to go on holiday and explore new places but because part of my role is to travel to various places in the UK to look after one of my clients who happens to be a Circus!

The upshot of all this thinking is that I wouldn't change what I do and that the old adage "do something that you love and you will never work a day in your life" is so true since I started my business.

So, here I stand on the 2nd birthday of Virtually Everywhere, looking out to my bright future and planning where it will take me next. All done with a spring in my step and love in my heart! 🥰

Is being too contactable healthy?

In a world of instant messages, emails, notifications, and endless pings, many of us are always available. But should we be?

Being reachable is often seen as a sign of reliability and commitment—but at what cost?

Does constant accessibility blur the line between work and life?

Are we sacrificing deep focus and mental clarity for responsiveness?

Is “always on” slowly becoming burnout in disguise?

There’s value in being responsive, but there’s also power in setting boundaries.

I’m curious—how do you strike the right balance between being available and preserving your time and energy?

Is being too contactable helping or hurting us?
