At Purple Gecko Events, we pride ourselves on being welcoming, supportive & inclusive (Whilst also having epic medals!)

We are a small Cornwall based events company, specialising in trail runs, the majority of which have no cut off times allowing runners of all levels, ages & abilities to participate at their own pace. Whether it be a 2.5K fun run around a beautiful Cornish lake or a 20K trek ove

r some of the most scenic coast path the South West has to offer, we have something for everyone. For those more experienced & adventurous, we have longer distance events including 3 ultramarathons on our race calendar, showcasing the most stunning coast line, moorland & countryside. In one weeks time, a treacherous band of cut throats, brigands & buccaneers will set off on the very first, complete Saints & Smugglers 100 Mile Challenge, in support of the fabulous East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team, starting & finishing at the epic Hannafore Point Hotel in Looe.

Will some fall foul of the ferocious Chinchilla of Dobwalls or the dreaded Sea Badger of Little Petherick, indubiously. Although I feel the passage through Shelob's lair just outside of Port Gaverne should be more of a concern, particularly for the back markers.

The challenge starts at 6am on Saturday 27th September, runners have 39 hours to complete the course. I will post a link to the live in here closer to the event so you can dot watch live:)

3 distances to choose from starting at midnight.....

The Good - 3 Hour endurance event finishing at 3am.
The Bad - 6 Hour endurance event finishing at 6am.
The Ugly - 12 Hour endurance event finishing at noon.

Live GPS tracking, medals for all, awards for the top finishers and free race photography, Canicross welcome!

Complete as many 5 Mile laps as possible within your alloted time, complete a minimum of 3 laps to earn your Haldon Horror medal.
There will be a designated rest area with fluids plus Salt & Sugar snacks plus carb at the start point, rest for as long as you wish between laps.
Headtorch required.

Halloween themed 2.5k Fun Run, 5k, 10k with the undead hot on your heels...
10mins after the 5k & 10k Trail Run has started the siren will sound and the undead will be released.. Those that make it home ahead of the undead will get a 'Survivor' sticker to attach to their race bib.
Those that don't..... lets just say you won't have to worry about it to much...

Canicross categories will be run separately ( no zombies jumping out or chasing you)
