I came across this stunning image and wanted to share it with you. It reminded me of three very important things when planning your big day:
1) Remember to make time and space to have genuine moments together - it is all too easy to plan everything to last second and miss out the importance of actually spending some of your celebrations with the one you have just married!
2) Think about what your special things are - do you have a special way of entwining your fingers, is your 'kiss' a gentle, loving one on a forehead (like this), do you have a way of hugging which means everything to the two of you? If you do, make it known to the photographer! Give them the opportunity to capture it for you.
3) And the photographer - choose wisely! This is one area where you should not rush your decision. Not only do they need to be clever, skilful and have an eye for the emotion and special moments, they need to be someone you can get on with. You'll be spending a lot of time with them on a day when you'll be feeling at your most nervous and tense. The last thing you need is irritation that you can't get rid of! So take the time to get to know them, let them get to know you. And that way, they will capture the best of you because you'll be more relaxed, they will know what to look for and the images they capture will be a true record of your love.
This photo said all of that to me. Will yours do the same for you?
