Our Story
Every girl dreams of looking her best on her wedding day, dressed in that pristine white, most coveted dress, which embodies her spirit and character as the bride. Her dress defines who she is and what she believes in.
I had similar fantasies too, of being wildly and madly in love and walking towards the man whom I would love, cherish and behold-the man who would love, treasure and appreciate me. I dreamt of being dressed sophisticatedly in a bridal gown that would represent my bohemian spirit- a simple, elegant wedding dress that embodied the euphoric free spirit that, I imagine, lives within each woman.
Inspired by nature and my own unbound fantasy, the wedding became, not just a ceremony to join two loving people together, but the celebration of ‘the woman’ and her spirit. She was the spirit of the valley- verdant and mysterious; the essence of the forest, beautiful and bountiful; the soul of the sea - wild, tempestuous and irresistible. This unleashed my creative yearning and inspired me to create a wedding style that encapsulated the feminine spirit in all its myriad hues and showcased it with unbounded femininity with sheer grace.
Attending weddings as a guest, bridesmaid or a maid-of-honour and sitting through endless hours of dress selections and fittings, I realised just how far this entire process was from my own visions of wedding celebrations. The dress designs, the endless, cheerless sittings and formal impersonal fitting process, took away so much of the effervescent joy of the much-awaited ceremony. The stiff, over-formal dresses with yards and yards of heavy fabric and boning, left little room for a bride to shine out as a person. How was this free-spirited hippie going to enjoy herself and celebrate the greatest moment of her life with the same unabandoned spirit that had brought the two lovers together? How could she swing and dance and kick her heels up in the arms of her partner, when the essence of her personality is shrouded in stiff formality? She couldn’t be herself at her own wedding!
This thought compelled me to unleash my own creativity and launch a beautiful line of exquisite wedding dresses with Love Spell, created with love from organic and luxurious fabrics, in designs that reflect the modern lifestyle and personality of the bride. Each wedding dress is a celebration of joy, happiness love and laughter. They are modern, comfortable and easy to wear and designed keeping in mind the contemporary bride with a modern outlook.
