What a night. What a gathering. What a Steampunk Yule Ball. Our hearts are so full with gratitude for every single one of you who came along, dressed up, danced hard, laughed loud, and helped create such a warm, joyful, electric atmosphere. The vibe was everything — playful, magical, welcoming, and gloriously alive. Thank you for bringing your energy, your creativity, and your Yule spirit and turning this into something truly special.

Endless thanks and love to our incredible artists, each of whom brought their own unique magic to the night:
Professor Elemental — for the wit, charm, silliness and absolute brilliance. A master of joyful chaos.
The Gaslight Troubadours — for rich soundscapes, big hearts, and transporting us somewhere timeless and beautiful.
Samantics — for sharp words, big feelings, and songs that hit straight to the soul.
Devil's Doorbell — for the anarchic Jazz, rhythm, and that irresistible, foot-stomping energy.
Kiara Leigh — for fire, elegance, power, and pure stage presence that weaves magic through the room.
Jonty Depp (as Doc Brown) — for fully committing to the timeline and bringing humour, heart, and time-travelling joy.

The official photos from the Ball are going live on Paul Ligas Photography’s page, so do head over and have a good wander through the magic.

Paul has been our wonderful photographer almost every year (bar one!), and as always he worked so hard on the night — quietly capturing the joy, the sparkle, the mischief — and then many more hours afterwards lovingly editing and uploading the images for us all to enjoy.

The great temporal convergence is today — the Steampunk Yule Ball finally opens its doors!

Time travellers from every era are already stepping through portals toward Exeter Phoenix. Soon the building will ignite with music, mischief, performance, colour and the glorious chaos that only the Ball can summon.

The Night Before the Steampunk Yule Ball

Tonight, across timelines and tangled dimensions, travellers are preparing their engines, tightening their goggles and stepping into shimmering portals. The Steampunk Yule Ball is almost here.

Tomorrow, Exeter Phoenix will come alive with comedy, music, dancing, spectacle and the extraordinary cast of performers who journey through time to join us — from Professor Elemental to The Gaslight Troubadours, from Kiara Leigh’s ever-shifting incarnations to the fierce harmonies of The Devil’s Doorbell.

And of course… our newly revealed mystery guest, Samantics, bringing his time-bending lyricism and loop-powered brilliance to the stage.

Costumes are being assembled in the past, the present and the future. Stories are stirring. The aether is humming.
