FAQ Friday!
We do get a lot of questions asked at our events and sessions, which is absolutely fantastic as it shows people truly are interested in our wonderful creatures!
For today's FAQ - "do you name them all?"
In a word - yes!
However not every single creature has an individual name. That would be damn near impossible 😂
The isopods are collectively known as 'The Pods' I have 13 species in total - with each enclosure having at least 100 individuals!
The blue death feigning beetles are collectively known as 'The Blueberries' just because I can't tell them apart..
The Cockroaches are named Colin if male, and Connie if female.. Again far too many to name individually!
All the snails, millipedes, stick/leaf insects, tarantulas, scorpions, spiders, katydids, moths, slugs, beetles, mantis, crickets and crabs have individual names - that's a lot to remember 😂
The only ones that don't are all the 'babies'.. We have baby stick insects, snails, millipedes and then the beetle grubs and caterpillars
If you want to know the names of any of the creatures comment below! 😁
