it’s been a mega few months being back in the kitchen.. fabulous to see familiar faces and lots of new ones too. Didn’t realise you lot missed my food as much you did, which has been great, but .. WOW.. busy from day dot. Lots of 3am wake ups (and yes, that’s for work and not the little people!) Building up my team and getting into the groove of the ultimate juggle. It’s been a lot. I’m not going to lie, there have been tears shed and lots of questioning “what am I doing” but I think I have got this.. now I’m having a “break” with my kiddies for two weeks and ready to hit the ground running again in September. See you then!

Platters of flat iron steak ready for delivery, part of a “create your own poke bowl” , along with sesame salmon, ginger chicken, marinated tofu, smashed lime avocado, cucumber & pepper salad, edamame bean, shredded carrot & cabbage salad, toasted cashews, pickled ginger & sushi rice . Breakfast frittata, soft boiled eggs, halloumi, sunblushed tomato & roasted peppers, bagel selection & norlander bread..(im ADDICTED to norlander IYKYK!), waffles, croissants, cherry tomato & toasted seed salad, yoghurt & fruit, charcuterie .. just a few of the options from our breakfast menu. I know I’m supposed to be making reels, but life’s too busy .. so I’m going to continue to share images of delicious things we have been making in the kitchen.. this one is very apt timing for all the veggie growers out there drowning in courgettes.. pan friend courgette marinated in sherry vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, mint & garlic . Simple & delicious. So good mopped up with a slab of focaccia from Half Dozen Other . Summer on a plate

Public service announcement 📣 . Did you know, if you slice watermelon, grate lime over it and then freeze it, it’s the most amazing treatment for battling the heat. Fugly Delicious .. I don’t really like chocolate cake.. I find it can be quite dry and disappointing.. but this one I can get behind.. it’s gooey, it’s dense and light at the same time (not sure how!?!) , it’s not too sweet, it’s chocolatey .. I layered it with Nutella mascarpone with mascarpone cream on the outside.. it felt like a cartoon cake. It’s everything you want from a celebration cake.!

And just like that, I’m back in the kitchen..and back on the socials..! What a whirlwind the past 7 months have been, welcoming my newest bean into the world, learning a new type of juggle, all with a full heart and a tired brain.. but now it’s time to get back into Taste the Love.. I sloped off socials without saying bye (although who actually cares?!) .. I’m not a fan of the online world, the strange pull it has on us all, the addiction! I came off socials for a “couple of days” in August 2025 and found the physical withdrawals SCARY. It made me want to stop it completely, but obviously having a business means I need to have visibility on here, which is such a head scramble in itself.. Socials are a JOB and I don’t have time for another job on top of my busy job, my voluntary “job” at a local CIC and looking after my two beans, so I’m back, I’m excited to start cooking for old and new clients, but you won’t see my on here doing reels (posts don’t go anywhere do they?!) .. but I’m back cooking and a part of me is excited (and a lot of me is nervous!) .. so be kind and get in touch if you need some food!
