A gorgeous day in the sun celebrating Alexandra & Harry a couple of weeks ago ☀️.

They enjoyed a ceremony & canapés outdoors at the lovely soaking up the weather.

Loved seeing the menu we worked on with the couple come to life on the day.

Starters:
Cheese, Pea & Leek tartlet
Crab Cakes & Lemongrass sauce (wish I got a photo - these looked divine!)

Mains:
Dartmoor Rump Cap, Shallot Tart, Balsamic Onions & Wild Mushroom Duxelles
Roast Hake, Brown Shrimp Beurre Noisette, Fricassee of Peas & Broad Beans
Summer Pea, Courgette & Mint Risotto
(All served with sharing bowls of Herby Potatoes, Seasonal Green & Caraway Roast Carrots)

Our favourite moments lately…

Lots of spring time soirées, gatherings, late night bars and special wedding celebrations have been keeping our awesome team busy the past few weeks.

Here are a few of our fave moments:

🍅 Yay to IOW tomato season
🦆 Tasty Smoked scents prepping this duck starter in our smoker!
🍋‍🟩 Keeping it Classic with a key lime pie
🧁 All kinds of colourful desserts graced K & G tables
💎 Sorry but how lovely is these earrings one of our recent brides made for guests as favours.
🐄 Duo of Beef left the kitchen for T&A’s big day
🌺 .microgreens bringing the colour to the plates!
🚐 we had 3 fun days at Devon county show representing
🎨 Why wouldn’t you decide to refurb a pub in a short space of time in the middle of wedding season? 🫠

Using produce that is fresh, seasonal and local is important to us.

With a stone throw away from the kitchen, it’s a no brainer using their produce on your wedding day menus! The gardeners pick the veg in the morning and by midday it’s been hand delivered to the chefs!!

Brickhouse Gardens use a no dig approach, leaving the soil undisturbed and helps preserve the beneficial organisms and nutrients that help the veg grow.
This is great for the planet, great for the veg and great for our taste buds!

The spring veggies have been outstanding and we can’t wait to cook with what they have growing to harvest in the summer!

This month is the last month of our taster sessions with some very exciting menus to present, it’s also officially the start of our wedding season AND you will also find us at a couple of fantastic open days handing out canapés and chatting all things catering!
