Here’s why a marquee wedding needs someone overseeing the whole picture:

A marquee wedding doesn’t come with a venue team behind the scenes… so that’s where I come in 🤍

When you choose a marquee wedding, you’re essentially creating your own wedding venue from the ground up.

And while that gives you the freedom to create something completely personal, there are a lot of moving parts.

My role is to make sure all of those moving parts come together seamlessly.

Long before your guests arrive, I’m thinking about…

✨ Marquee layouts and site logistics
✨ Supplier access and timings
✨ Power, lighting, toilets and practicalities
✨ Catering and bar requirements
✨ Furniture, florals and styling
✨ Build schedules and deliveries
✨ Wet-weather plans (because… England ☔️)
✨ Guest flow and the running of the day
✨ And all those tiny details you shouldn’t have to think about

Then, as your wedding approaches, I become the person everyone comes to.

Your marquee company. Caterer. Florist. Band. Photographer. Bar team. Transport. Family.

Instead of calling you, they call me.

And on the wedding day?

While you’re getting ready, drinking ch*****ne and wondering how it’s finally here, I’m behind the scenes making sure everything is exactly where it needs to be.

Solving problems before you know they exist.

Keeping suppliers on track.

Watching the weather.

Managing the timings.

And making sure you and your family, can simply enjoy it.

Because having a marquee wedding at home should feel incredibly special.

It shouldn’t feel like you’re running an event venue for the weekend.

That’s my job.

A beautiful wedding is one thing.

A wedding that feels extraordinary is something else entirely.

Because true luxury isn’t simply found in exquisite flowers, beautiful tables or an incredible setting.

It’s in the way your guests are welcomed.
The ease with which the day unfolds.
The atmosphere that draws people in.
The thoughtful details they may never consciously notice, but somehow feel.

It’s never having to wonder what happens next.

It’s ch*****ne arriving at just the right moment. Dinner flowing effortlessly into speeches. The room shifting almost imperceptibly from an elegant celebration to an unforgettable evening.

It’s feeling considered, cared for and completely immersed in the occasion.

This is the part of wedding planning I love most.

As your planner, I’m looking beyond how your wedding will photograph and considering how every moment will be experienced, by you and by the people you’ve chosen to share it with.

The pacing. The energy. The transitions. The hospitality. The smallest details that quietly elevate the whole experience.

So while everything feels beautifully effortless, there is intention behind every moment.

Because to me, luxury isn’t about creating more.

It’s about creating an experience so considered that all you and your guests have to do is be completely present within it.

Beautiful may be what they see.
But how you made them feel is what they’ll remember.

Marquee weddings at home 🤍

So special and personal but also one of the most intricate weddings to plan.
Because we are not just choosing a ready made venue, but building one from the ground up!

Power, water, kitchens, bathrooms, access, parking, lighting, flooring, weather contingencies, supplier logistics, neighbours, timings… and then, of course, all the beautiful details that make the celebration feel completely effortless.

As your wedding planner I’m looking at the things you shouldn’t have to think about. I want you to enjoy the planning journey and not have to worry about anything.

Will there be enough power for the band?
How will the guests get to the reception from the church?
Where can the caterers unload?
What day and time will the florist be arriving?
Will the marquee be up in time for the furniture hire delivery?
Have we got the correct glassware?
How much booze do we need?

And so many more questions…….

Let me answer these for you and take the stress away so you can just enjoy every day and trust that everything is in safe hands.

That moment you’ve been waiting for…

As you make your entrance, a rush of emotions takes over…. excitement, nervousness, anticipation, vulnerability, and pure joy all at once.

Here is the gorgeous Gemma with her Dad as they walk towards the large glass doors of Blyth Barn, and make their entrance down the aisle where she will marry the love of her life. Such a special moment 🤍

Oh my goodness, this weekend is going to be a scorcher!! ☀️
Don’t forget to think about a ‘hot weather’ plan just as much as a ‘rain’ plan.

Follow some of my top tips to stay cool during your wedding day…….

1. Hydrate hydrate hydrate. Easier said than done especially when there is so much excitement going on throughout the day. Set up a hydration station for all your guests that is constantly replenished and easy to see, jazz it up with fruit or cucumber! Also iced cocktails will go down a treat 🍹

2. Keep a touch up kit nearby. Maybe one of your bridesmaids (or planner ) can look after this for you. Deodorant, blotting paper, lipstick powder. A little pouch is perfect for those essentials.

3. Hand held fans! These are without a doubt one of the best and cheapest purchases you can have for you wedding day. The battery powered hand held fans are perfect 👌 Don’t forget your guests….. paper hand held fans work really well and can pop on each chair. Your guests will thank you!

4. Shade is paramount! Pockets of relaxed seating with parasols not only look gorgeous but are very practical. If you have a bar outside, find a shaded area which they could set up near, same with entertainment. Don’t forget your suppliers!

5. Timings for the day. Factor in times where it might be cooler to get those all important photos. You will feel more comfortable and relaxed I promise you.

Above are just a few top tips to navigate the sunny days.
As your wedding planner, I have all these little ideas going through my head constantly as my priority is to ensure you and your guests have an amazing day.
